Had a recruiter reach out to me for the GI expansion. How is it working for abbvie? The culture? And how are the GI products doing? Thanks.

Gastro immunology is expanding. Drugs are good. Be mindful of the territory you are applying for - make sure it has a big biologic volume Vs big geography. You are stack ranked against other teams. Make sure your territory has an academic center and multiple big group practices - a National thought leader/KOL in your territory is a plus too. Big biologic volume territories with multiple academic, large IDNs, and National KOL are all beating smaller biologic territories with few of the above mentioned with no National KOL. The smaller volume territories are getting screwed if they don’t have a National KOL or a big academic center - they can’t compete with the larger volume teams. Crappy bonus and low president club rank. Many have left because of this. AbbVie should stack rank teams based on their bio volume, academic centers, National KOL against others with same criteria, but they aren’t.
What is a fair negotiable base salary range wise for one of these expansion openings? 12 years sales experience.
Have you spoken to the recruiter? I have my in person interview next week. Hope they offer.
