Getting Ready For Another NSM Party!

Just like the last few years, this year should be just as crazy with plenty of booze, senior management BS, major ass kissing and more BS! I can't imagine how much $$ we waste on these Pharmapalooza events, but who cares!!! Most of us won't be here for very long so why not live it up? The dumb-ass NSM app didn't even work for me, but who cares...let's party! See ya in Orlando!
 






The app didn't work for me either. Wasted 30 minutes on the phone with our IT department yesterday, man are they clueless. finally got it working after multiple attempts. you'd think we could make something this basic work right?

Why would any of this shit ever work! The traiing department or as they now call themselves "commercial learning and development" can't even get a god damn web ex to run without major issues! Add to that the fancy rooms they created where most members of the team don't know how to work any of it!! So sad, just as sad and wastful as these meetings are! What a fuckin joke! A week of my life that I will never get back
 






Senior management if you are listening, stop selling us on why Astellas is so great. It's not and it's no fun working here!!! Quality people are leaving only to be replaced by washed-up big pharma drones. There are major issues in the field that continue to be ignored like IT, FUSION, sales analytics, and training...the list is endless! All we hear from HQ is "we are the best"...bla, bla, bla. You sound ignorant and it makes most of us want to update our resume and seek employment elsewhere.

I'm holding out a small ounce of hope that this will change at this years NSM.
 












Before you ruin it for the rest of us, some of us are happy. I have a great relationship with my RSM and work 2 days a week, maybe 2.5 if you include some admin stuff. I'm able to keep a second job and coach my kids soccer team. I visit important accounts regularly and expect to win Summit Club this year. Where I live, easy 6 figure jobs are hard to find especially with all the perks like a car, bonus, healthcare, 401K. So if I have to suck-up to a few senior leaders a few weeks a year and complete some bs training...count me in!
 






Now remember it's no longer the NSM. You all haven't been reading your emails and doing all of your prework because if you have then you would know that it's now the NSF! How's that for change? Dont forget to bring along your playing cards on "trust" that we received at the last meeting:)
 






And stop reminding us how the senior management team has zero diversity! A bunch of middle-aged white guys that love to hear themselves talk and make inside jokes. We understand Astellas doesn't allow minorities at certain levels of the organization, but don't rub it in our face!
 






I feel like I'm at a 5-hour Energy sponsored Amway Convention! A ton of hype and show but zero substance on anything that will actually help me achieve my sales goal...Maybe we'll look back at this meeting some day and say "wow, remember when our NSM was a huge pep rally and we did nothing but party"...not sure this company can survive without new products and I don't see anything meaningful in the pipeline. Time to go!

Why on earth would any company who wanted to survive allow minorities to make decisions? Hello!!! It's 2014 there's enough evidence to show that everything minorities touch turns to crime and dis-function. Except some of the Asians.... they might work out. Preferably Americanized Koreans but definitely not the Hmong.

Sad that our leaders act more like frat boys. All married yet you'd never know it! Fun to just sit back and observe! After a few drinks..... boy do they love the women! I see Some HR nightmares in the near future!

That guy was on fire!! Sitting back sipping drinks with the girls all around, all he needed was a Eunuch ( maybe DL) attend to the troop while he stepped out.!

JR and Big W, does W stand for Womenizer?? Reminded me of the line "we didn't give up when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor" All was needed on stage was Toga, toga, Toga....chants.......
