You should be more than a "bit nervous." Time to start a new job search.
True. Pusher promised so much and everyone seems so nice. I accepted this position because I want to help epilepsy patients, and I am still hoping this will come true....but I am starting to worry I made a mistake...

In the current pharma environment, you always have to be thinking about the next move and selling a bunch of generic drugs may be easy now but won't make us very marketable when we are out interviewing the next time.
No...technically we will be selling generics and that doesn't make us very marketable. Interviewers want to see that you can sell in a competitive market with access challenges because that's what 99% of the jobs out there require.

Hey, you made the decision to come here, right? Don't tell me you didn't know you were going to sell an ER version of Topiramate! Did you even do any research before you came here? I came here because it's a a sales job which I enjoy, it pays pretty well, it's specialty sales, and my manager is great. Win-win for me. If you're concerned about proving you can sell in a competitive managed care environment, be creative during your interviews. You're a salesperson, right? Sell yourself. If you're any good, you'll get the job despite working for USL.
agree
Keep drinking the USL Kool-Aid
I'd rather drink the USL Koolaid than be unemployed. I'm willing to see what happens here unless something great comes along. Don't see anything great out there and the job market stinks, so USL Koolaid it is. Yum. Delicious. You should try some.

You can smile and drink the Koolaid all you like, but they will still discard you into the rubbish bin at a moment's notice. Oh Yeah.
