The Financial Times Deutschland writes:

Regardless of the motives of the assassin, the debate is urgently needed. The political radicalization in the US has reached a point that is unworthy of a democratic state. More than any others, the members of the Tea Party movement made rhetoric of war into normal discourse ..."

"It speaks volumes that Tea Party members and former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin removed crude imagery from their websites in a hurry on Saturday ..."

They are all too familiar with this sort of stuff from their own history. Yes, it can happen here.

The Germans also do not allow the kind of hate media that's popular on talk radio that we allow in the US, they know how that ends. I sometimes wonder if we have to go down the route of the Nazis before we can become a more wise nation such as Germany or can we learn from their history.

FOX News and the comedian Limbaugh would make Jospeh Goebbels very proud, he handed them their blue print and they followed his model to a tee.

Again, please read Ted Koppel's opinion. 'Radicalization' exists at both ends of the Left / Right spectrum. This country was a much nicer place when it wasn't as prominent on either end.

Well said Vag. I couldn't agree more.
