Pay is SHIT! If staying up half the night worried how you are going to pay your basic bills (forget saving, vacations, home improvements) or support a family...or dealing with massive guilt for letting them down by accepting a sales position is your gig- oh and being on xanax just to get through a day living like that is your gig- then work here. If you wish to be financially responsible- RUN!

Never have I seen such a shitty and demotivating (plus just unacceptable and scary for the person inadvertently finding themselves in this hell as their reality) excuse for a sales Comp Plan in my close to 20 year medical/Pharma sales career. Whoever formulated it gets the epic collosal idiot award and has no respect for those out working HARD to support clients and their own families. Shame on you Genova!

Great tests, fun customers- SHIT pay and you are going to end up hating Genova for doing this to you and your family (they don’t tell you about the SHIT PAY up front). You find out later- due to 90 day probation and being paid 4-5 mos in arrears (they don’t disclose it in interviews).

In nearly 20 years med/Pharma I have NEVER seen such a pathetic, demotivating, non paying SHITTY excuse for a compensation plan. Shame on you Genova for not respecting people. We are working hard to support clients and our families- and you just SHIT on us with your insulting, non adequately compensating plan.

I have lost many nights sleep over you and had I known and been told up front- I NEVER would have brought this hellish nightmare you gave me into my life or my family. The stress has been AWFUL on me.

that’s not the point- the point is any employer needs to be up front regarding income (and Genova is NOT) to a Perspective employee. You get trained, commit to them and the clients, even love the job only to later learn this job pays 1/3 of what most medical sales positions do. By then- you’ve either left a better paying job or if laid off- turned down other things- only to learn you need to go back through interviews and searching (which most of us avoid like the plague) bc a Company was not transparent with something so critical. Medical Sales positions generally don’t leave you sweating supporting a family and basic monthly bills- you are generally paid at a level where this is never a concern. THATS the point. You cannot hire and recruit talented experienced sales people And expect them to be a) okay with this b) not a train wreck when the eventual stress and realization sets in of making not much above a 60-65k base salary this company pays sets in that has left you feeling mislead and taken advantage of. Not one person in this industry would accept this position at that pay- so they need to tell you up FRONT rather than leading you on until you figure it out yourself and find yourself in that stress. THAT is shame on Genova- 100%.
