Generic Vivitrol

My son has done very well with Vivitrol. The only issue is cost. We have paid 750.00 - 1100.00. per month. 2 questions: is there patient assistance? How long is the patent and when would a generic be available. Thanks for serious replies. Concerned Parent

There is no generic of Vivitrol except oral nalotraxone which is a cheaper option. No patient assistance program however physicians can request samples.

Thanks for your response, I will follow up with my sons MD re samples. My son could not be prescribed pills as he would not take them. I am assuming that a generic of the shot that he gets would be less expensive than what we currently pay. Any idea when a generic shot may be available for Vivitrol? I know that your company may not sell the generic when it is available so thanks for your response.

hate to break the news, but this person may have a child as described that takes Vivitrol as described. What they conveniently failed to share is that he also happens to work for an outside firm that collects data for a competitor. Client wants to know patent info, generic availability, timeline. All of it direct request from client. You can bet the house on it.

Obviously over-estimating the amount of intelligence, quality and drive possessed by the over-degreed fakes these vendors hire. They receive minimal training and are under a great deal of pressure from their less than qualified managers. These small firms sell these big companies with deep pockets on their firms ability to conduct "primary research" they claim they have contacts within the circles that know. They over inflate their "vast network of personal resources." All of which is actually a huge pile of hooey. Quickest means to an end to get anything for a looming report deadline is pretend you are just asking a simple question "act like Joe Public, and never let on you're doing CI." Actually researching the internet takes time and effort. Does not fit their description of "primary research." They consider the internet as secondary research, and with that could not bill as high. so with CP being so easy, they don't let their peers know they do it either... easy to now fit the pieces together. They begin an anonymous conversation here, then use the pieces to secure, or round out, other conversations, all with people who don't realize whats happening either. Then blend it into a report and hope their clients keep paying, and that they don't figure it all out. Sad really.
