Genentech Iowa Oncology Rep from Amgen

Word is this rep turned over confidential Amgen loyalty discount documents on her interview to Genentech. She sold them on her ability to sell on the spread. What's the status since word is GNE is getting outside counsel. Is N Ekis still working, suspended or soon to be fired?

Are you interested in her job? You keep posting wanting to know what the update is with this chic. What she did wasn't right but, if you believe in karma, she will eventually be without a job. These things don't happen overnight. Companies have to build a case in order to terminate someone. This situation is a lot more complex, since she is not the only one who broke some major compliance rules.

But, what I really want to know is why you keep reposting on this same issue? Again- do you want her job or something? (You definitely have some motive here)

Has Genentech or Amgen provided information to the clinics involved about the breach of data? I would love to meet the compliance person from Genentech that hired outside legal counsel to cover up this breach.

I work for Amgen and yes I understand NLE gave Genentech the contract sheets which was not a good move. But that doesn't mean she "sold on the spread". Why is the same person saying that BS over and over again? We at Amgen do not "sell on the spread" as this poster seems to say over and over again. It's illegal and she nor anyone at Amgen does it.

Do you know if Amgen or Genentech has set up an 800 number or website so clinics can check and see if there data has been breached?

Concerning the spread, your response is quite different than comments made by Dr. Otis Brawley, President of the American Cancer Society. He has an opposite view compared to you. I think it would be great for you and Dr. Brawley to do a point counterpoint. I'm guessing that since Dr. Brawley has superior intellect compared to an Amgen rep, he would crush you.

GNE has been hiring several Amgen reps who have demonstrated the ability to sell on the spread

So here is a great example. If this is true (and that is a big IF) then why does this poster not call out these other reps by name? It is very interesting that only the former Iowa rep from Amgen continues to be referenced in all of these posts. Sounds like someone has a personal beef with this rep, not an issue with the actual compliance violation itself. Otherwise, we would be seeing a list of people being named, not just Ekis.

If there are other states where this data breach is happening, that would be helpful. Our interest is involvement in data breach situations all over the United States. We now have a name here in Iowa that has been involved in a breach, as well as companies involved, which is very helpful. We can start calling Cancer Centers in the state with this information to alert them of a possible data breach. If there are other states where this happening, that would be great information. Also, can you give us a name on the compliance person from Genentech that had possession of the information?

This makes no sense. Why would we call Cancer Centers with confidential information?

Thank you!! As we gather more information about the clinics that were violated by the breach we will need to have all of the internal names from Genentech that have in their possession copies of the stolen documents as recoverable documents. This is a helpful start. Also, if you have names of reps, managers, regional managers that have copies of these stolen documents in their possession, that would be helpful as well.

This makes no sense. Why would we call Cancer Centers with confidential information?

It's a law firm looking to get information. They want to know about the Cancer Clinic in Central Iowa and the Cancer Center in Northwest Iowa that had their documents breached and turned over to Genentech. They are looking for business to file lawsuits against the rep and Genentech.

This rep in Iowa is good. She gets posts with her name removed stat. She must monitor this site pretty regularly. Good for her competitors, she spends more time monitoring CP than selling her drugs. What a great investment Genentech!

Stop posting stupid untrue things and she wouldn't have to monitor CP.

This is the world of the Lung / GI team… So sad. Such a reflection of the sad state of leadership there. When all the leaders can think about is themselves, well, shit will happen….
