Serious question. Anyone know what the plans are for Uro/PCP? We have 1 product that's just about maxed out. We are "launching" a 2nd line therapy for OAB. Doesn't look good looking forward. Seems like all APUS focus is on oncology.
The entire industry is focused on oncology!!! All the disease states that helped to produce BlockBuster medications have been satisfied with great products the last 15 yrs with many additional 'me-too' products. NOw, the patents have expired and these disease states are full of generics that do a pretty good job with low cost to patients.
As you many know, the new product we launch is expected to have a 1-2% TRx share by April next year without eating away at vesicare. Formularies will not add this product due to lack of demand, unless the company gives outragious rebates just to show movement.
DLA will be generic next year at this time and have at least a 20% TRx share, taken from the branded business.
Therefore, every urology franchise employee will need to understand that 3 sales forces will not be needed. You will be culled out sytematically, given hard to acheive bonus structures, which will save the company money, and have larger territories and beg for the additional business based solely on relationships.
