No, I'm not talking about one of their commercials (which, FWIW, are stupid, not funny). I'm referring to the comments in the IEM breeze presentation about urologists noting a diminished Viagra rep presence in their offices. Gee, why would that be? Seriously, what rep DOESN'T want to go into a urologist's office and get verbally abused for the complete lack of product support relative to the ED market competitors? While the Cialis samples and vouchers are literally falling off the shelves, the little space the Viagra samples once occupied now sits barren and empty. Oh sure, they can call Pfizer Pro and get ONE 100mg sample bottle with a whopping 2 PILLS in it, but seriously, is there a physician in America who believes Pfizer is even trying to compete in this market anymore? Even Levitra got aggressive this year with pricing promotions and increased sampling/vouchers. Meanwhile the folks in NY scratch their heads as to why we're losing market share.
But being good little soldiers, we'll march back into the URO offices empty-handed and take our abuse on behalf of the company and the geniuses in NY who feel ED samples don't drive business. I need a drink...
