Remember when we all went to our National meeting in Feb 2014? All seemed A-Ok on Monday, the first day of the meeting. Albeit missing our illustrious CEO, everything seemed ok.
Then the 4 AM text messages and VM came crazily. It was 7 AM on the east coast and it had just been announced that this garbage company purchased Cadence for 1.3 billion dollars.
There was a flurry of calls and a buzz in the hallways of the hotel, wondering if would all still have jobs. All the folks in California strongly professing they will quit if asked to move to St. Louis.
Then that bastard MT went on stage and we all knew it was over. MALLINKROTT???? MALINCRAUGHT???? No one knew about this shit company with good reason. So there MT stood on stage reading the TelePrompter and everyone had to look and smile and act like everything was ok. The dick never mentioned raising the price and changing all of our lives for the worse. One leader was really smart. This was RSL. RSL would never put up with this kind of crap and he left with his dignity and soul. The Cadence leaders that have stayed literally have sold their souls to the devil. We now all know and have learned something. What kind of spineless jellyfish some of these Cadence leaders are. These are the times (during challenging times) when you see someone's true character. People like JD want you to believe and think they are people of integrity but in reality when the chips are down they are only protecting one hide and it's their own.
Then we all endured the gigantic backlash. Months later they claimed it was an enormous success and the right thing to do as so,e were able to hang on to their business for a short while and it fooled the market in believing the drug was growing but in reality it was shrinking. A year later, they now apologize . This apology wasn't for the employees and what these idiots put us and our families through, but to the hospitals and pharmacy. This apology of course isn't genuine. It's like someone was caught cheating on a spouse. They apologize to better their own situation and it's not a genuine apology. That is what is so ironic. Stop apologizing now!!! If it was a genuine apology, you would take the product back to the original cost. They apologized knowing it was a dismal failure and hoped some pharmacy's would soften the blow a bit and still purchase the product, You ever wonder if people like MT didn't exist, how much all of our lives would be for the better. Did you ever stop to think what his sole actions and the actions of a few others have negatively affected your paycheck and the lives of your family. He should be so proud.
Now they continue with this tragic legacy by hiring people that have no business being CAS directors, have no business being managers, and have no business being a hospital sales rep. You are going to hire managers in one interview with no managerial experience??? You are going to hire reps with no hospital experience??? The new incentive comp plan now is structured to destroy the strong reps that have brought the money and volume and have been the leaders of sales in as an attempt to "even the playing field and give others a chance."
Mallinckrodt will be sold and idiots like MT and MM will walk away with a boatload of cash while destroying a lot of lives along the way.
