Free LIS for TC/PC clients?

I am being told by my clients that CBL offers a FREE LIS solution for their TC/PC split clients. How are they doing this? Particularly in the instance where the client is performing the PC isn't that confering something of independent value upon them? Wouldn't that constitute a kick-back?
What am I missing?
 








I have heard that too, and I have heard it about several other labs as well Dianon, Plus...
I don't know if they are using charging a monthly fee once they begin to use it but it is definitely being sold with no upfront costs...It could be an ask for forgiveness rather than permission approach as well.
 








They build the cost into the management contract fee. When the build the lab, or sign the TC agreement, they include this cost.

Would you like step by step instructions on how to do this too. Maybe everyone can ruin this business....

What business? anatomic pathology? It seems to me that its going down the toilet anyway. Any group that performs more that 2-300 procedures a month is considering TC/PC.
It's bad news for the patient.
 








NJ lab Path Solutions provides a system to their clients as well. I sold the software as part of the TC service. PULSE and others sell it the same way. Nothing wrong with that is there?
 








I believe they are all using VITAL AXIS software. The government is going to stop this. IN NY STATE it IS inducement to offer an LIS. Also, CBL is full of Crap, there stuff is not up and running yet. Plus they came to my lab and said, if you use us we will help you get back all the speciality doctor office business you lost, ie: UROLOGY, GI, Oncology. Well when I went around town to see some of these guys and ask them if they would come back , I noticed that every one of them was a CBL client. they are like the old mob with protection money...

The best is that when I went to check out Clarient as an option I typed Clarient into google and guess what popped up THE CBL HOME PAGE!!! Oh my god, what a bunch of sleeze.
And dont forget the case from 2007 when they told a women she had cancer just check that out it made GOOD MORNING AMERICA!!!

I stood at USCAP for two days watching you’re booth. I think I saw fifteen people actually stop.

One doctor walked past me and said: that lab has to have the worst histology in the industry!

Another reminded me of the infamous Breast Case, and finally a "business journal reporter" asked me why I thought, Genzyme sold for like $800 Mill, Clarient for 600 Mill and CBL for only $120 mill.

My comment "hey I am an independent manufacturers rep" and will not answer those comments because it may affect my business.

Even though CBL buys shit from me BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO MONEY!!

Did not have a booth I was a paying attendee!

As I said I was looking for Clients to do business with. So many Pathologists were grumbling about you being there as a Palatinum sponser or joking about your Best Practices Program and the fact that in 2006 you said that your business model was to take business from the local pathologist that I had to come check you out!
