Fred Hassan is truly a wizard at creating stockholder value. Simply put his method is to strip the company fat. Shores up the revenue by purchase of new assets and increase net income. He has done it so many times.

Nice try. You should send this to the WSJ they seem to like posting your infomercials for your upcoming IPO.

Don't forget to add that Brent Saunders is a miracle worker. He took a poor wretched group of workers at B+L and with a few motivational speeches turned them into profit making machines.

Hey Fred H is a rock star in increasing share holder equity. He did it with Pharmacia, Monsanto, Scheering, and now BL.

Kudos to our man Brent (coached by Fred Hassan) and his motivational lectures....that is how to turn around a sleepy stogy company.... create a communication machine to create a clear line of sight to align the troops to implement. Walla the shareholder equity is created.....chaching $$$$. This is how the free enterprise system and private equity work.

Warburg Pincus loves Brent and Fred

They will only love them if the IPO is successful. There are billions at stake. So far it has been all talk, lots of spending on ISTA, and not much change to the organization.

IPO might work better than a sale to another company. The small investor does not have the time or knowledge to ask the tough questions. Window dressing is enough for them.

Although you may here the equivalent of "remember the Alamo" from the small investor

it is now "remember the Facebook IPO"

Freeze that negativity it is time to usher in optimism. Sun rises everyday and every cloud has a silver lining.

The free enterprise system allows investors to recoupe their investments. This is is what creates capital to create assets of greater value. Just ask Mitt Romneynand Bain Capital.
