Form the SSLT: A Message of Thanksgiving to All of You!

Good Morning and Good Selling!! We, at the AZ SSLT, just want to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for all your hard work throughout 2011. We are all extremely proud of each of you! We know you are all anxious about your future, or lack thereof, at AZ.

Times are difficult for all of pharma. Tough decisions must be made. Stock grants/options are of utmost importance to some of you, and all of us. As you all know, our company performance has been somewhat lack luster for awhile now. Our pipeline has been and continues to be, disappointing, to put it mildly. That's why we must do whatever we can to increase revenue, profits, and our share price. That's why we have turned to Publicis Touchpoint Solutions for their help. By using their reps, we save a shitload of money all the way around! It doesn't matter if they have a "stake in the game" or not, we just want to save money! So, we really have no choice but to get rid of about 40% of all of you. It's business and nothing personal.

In the upcoming holidays, we know you guys will be on pins-and-needles worrying about your layoffs next year. We also know some of you are in danger of losing your house when you lose your job. It's going to be tough, we know. But when things get tough, the tough get going, or moving, or whatever that saying is. We have heard that UPS will be hiring this spring, and we all know you guys will fit right in. One last request, please go out of your way to make the Touchpoint Ocean reps feel welcome! Introduce them in your offices. Have lunch with them. Reach out to them in the spirit of pharma rep brotherhood!

We all will be thinking of you and wishing you all the best for this holiday season. Again, step back, take a deep breath, look to 2012 as a new beginning and adventure along life's path! Stay focused and control what you can, and make just one extra call a day for AZ!!

Thanks everyone and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

This post is great ! Very funny, hilarious and dripping with sarcasm. This is a masterpiece.

Why thank you very much! I am rather proud of it!! Seriously, bad things will soon be visited upon many good people at AZ. Things that we don't deserve. We are definitely the victims in this ongoing debacle! Victims at the hands of a grossly incompetent leadership group, starting with David Brennan. We've gone from the cover of Business Week, that touted the Best Pipeline in the world, to Vimovo. In addition, they are too damn cheap to sweeten the pot by offering the reps 3 weeks for every year like Sanofi At lease offer it for reps that have 20 or more years! They deserve it!

It appears that they will start rolling out the news the week after Thanksgiving. It's not going to be pretty.

I am actually surprised we have not seen an email from them very similar to this post! We written, that's for sure. The Future Survivors of the layoffs will be haunted by the fact that we will be doing them all over again next fall, and the year after that. Don't believe them when they say we are the "right size", because they surely will. Take every day, and do something that puts you further and further away from this company. Prepare!

problem is that if you make the cut next month. Guess what AZ will be doing next holiday season ? they will be announcing a smaller layoff but will be cutting again.

How many sales rep positions could be saved if they cut just 1 executive? Cut 5 executives and we all keep our jobs for the same amount of money.

Seems efficient and will keep the sales force on their feet... driving up revenue.

Yeah, but you don't actually ever work and therefore don't produce revenue. If you worked you would would not be whining on CP in the middle of the day. Fucking hypocrtical moron.

Take a finance class at night asshole and figure out the cost of FTEs at different levels. Then you will realize what an ignorant ass you are but I am guessing that you already knew that.
