Forest employee here. Based on your experience, how long do we have before he starts sh*t canning everyone?
Brent isn't Pearson. He'll at least try to learn what's going on before pulling the trigger. It's safe to say that some of the indirect costs will be outsourced. Some IT, shared services, HR support, and finance. The rest depends on what kind of shape and potential Forest has.
I know people on this board will bash Brent. I don't think he was that bad. Far better than Ron Zarrella and Jerry Ostrov.
At least Brent knew you needed to check the marine charts before you floored the throttles. Unlike Captain Mikey who steers straight to where he want's to go and relies on his crew of day laborers down below to patch the holes fast enough to keep from sinking.
You are so without a clue. Brent was nothing more than a tool and will continue to be. He just didn't seem bad because he didn't do anything other than over-fluff the ranks of directors and vice-presidents during his reign. Surround yourself with quasi decision makers and you can sleep in till 10 every morning, work 3 days a week, take 11 weeks of vacation and still look like a genius - even though you provided no real net value to the bottom line. Teats - boar - Brent.

Brent will likely replace most of his staff and that will cascade through the ranks. He may do some trimming too, but he is not a job slasher. He believes in investing in the future and he understands that you can't do that without good people.
Nobody is perfect, but boy are we missing Brent now. He is infinitely better than what we have now.
