Can senior management think of anything else to embarrass men? If Merck leadership thinks this is going to attract and retain talent they must be smoking crack.

I'm grateful to have a company car but the Ford Fusion is 100% a "chick car". While reducing costs senior management has also hatched a diabolical plan to eliminate all self-respecting male reps (who are heterosexual) or emasculate the ones who stay. I'm updating my resume now.

A decent car for the money.
 












Have your physician fill out the Alternative Veehicle Request Form and submit it to Merck Health. Mine was approved by Merck in 2 days. Now I can order a Subaru Forrester. I drive an Escape now, so I very happy to get the Subaru.
 












A peer of mine just got her Fusion. She loves it and called it "cute". Of course it's cute to her - it's designed for Smurfs, midgets, gay men, and thin women - which accounts for 90% of sales reps. As a man with a lot of dignity (at least for now) I see a Forester or second "real" car in my future.
 






Most of the sales force is 'bitches' now and they fit! For the males w/ Merck you get a lifetime supply of KY so you can grease your ass and slip right in! Bet they'll have a lot more medical leave because of back and leg problems with the new 'super compact'! Also without much in the way of samples anymore why would you need a trunk?

You update your resume because of a fleet car of of your liking? The threshold of your trigger point to change employment is low. You will go work for a different company because they have a cooler, more macho, less-gay company car? Not the pay? Not the products? May be there is a drug company there buying up the remaining inventory of all the Hummer. Go find it!

Dude, your a pharma bitch, you turned in your man card long ago. And, your bitching about a free car? Sounds like your having your period. Has it aligned with all of the women there??
 


















No self-respecting male below the age of 50 works for this company! Males over 50 stay because they worked here when it was truly a man's career choice with meaningful interactions!

The rep job today is for women needing flexibility and good salary for their families.

Only low-achiever type men (under age 50) dare stay more than 2 years with this company. The REAL men(heterosexual or gay) leave within 2 years for real jobs!
 






Less samples means less need for trunk space,,,so smaller cars. If your a giant sized in height or width a medical reason may be a reason for something else. Can give that a try!

wow-talk about arrested development. but that's a merck rep for you. thats why you guys get treated like the little bitches you are - because merck knows you focus on the trivial and always miss the big picture. i left merck two years ago to work for a real sales organization and now drive the fusion. it's every bit as nice as the impala i had w/merck
so if you leave because they gave you a fusion guess what car you'll most likely get (if you're lucky to even find a job)? a ford fusion. you guys certainly have the monopoly on rep moronic behavior. p.s. mgmt. orginally wanted to put you all in the ford focus - so you would stay "focused."
 






To all the non-Merck bitchers: go back to your dung-hole company web forum, if you even have one. You all sound pissed off because Merck fired you or never hired you to begin with and you're stuck working for some piece of **** company - too bad for you. There's a reason why they never hired you or fired you. Take your whining somewhere else because no one here wants to hear it.
