FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH

I just finished scrolling through 300-400 LinkedIn profiles, one- two- and three-off from me, and I simply can't believe all the sales talent that Mallinckrodt has let get away. The toxic atmosphere has driven away so many good people; it's just a crying shame.

I look back at some of the people I have encountered at Mallinckrodt in my nearly-ten years there, and I am amazed at how many people have moved on.

This was a GOOD sales force. I sold a bunch of crap products in my years here; people came and went. But I've never seen anything at ANY company I've worked for--and I've worked for several--in my 25+ years in the business, that come close to the debacle that is Mallinckrodt.

I don't truly know why Hugh and Stacy came here. I DO know that, since they arrived, everything has gone to hell in a hand basket. It certainly appears they had some sinister mission.

Or maybe the hell hole that MNK has become is just to cover up all their mistakes......

Somebody else take over and finish this post.........

yeah, your post is ridculous. You obviously have a lot of time on your hand. So many worked at MNK , so what , you could say that about the industry.
The company did what it needed to do, reduce costs in order to stay afloat, this is not a welfare compnay.
If you can not sell Xartemis , then see you!

It's not the same company anymore and all that is left are the people that can't get another job. It's not that I fault them since the job market is tight and it us easier sometimes to be complacent. That is the only explanation. Because how could anyone with any self respect put up with the BS that this company has become. SC and HO are evil to the core. People take pride in yourselves and get out of there!!!

What is nice is seeing the ex-MNK people and their new job titles and companies. Have seen many let go early back to work, and many who were fortunate to be able to leave on their own. Way to go, ex-MNK reps!

How about those of us who DID sell XXR and were let go anyway. Just because we made too much money--we earned every penny--we were let go because our "position was eliminated". Now they are back filling with people who make a little more than half what we did. They will get what they pay for.

Don't know where this company is headed, but it can't be good, with evil people like HO and SC at the helm. Best of luck to the few that are left. You are going to need it.

Are you truly referring to ex-members of the sales force as "great talent"? If you are, you truly know nothing about this industry or how it works.

I'm not the original poster but you are absurd. Our territories were chopped up to bring on 100+ contract reps for the launch of XXR. Some people were displaced for a launch expectation that was so out of reach that only 2 out of 330 territories even hit the goal. By your rational we should have a sales force of only 2! Are you one of those 2 territories? Your probably just Hugh, Stacy or one of their lap dogs.

No, you are absurd. The company got rid of the dead wood

Look, you asshole! I'm not deadwood. I made the numbers. I would be willing to bet, more than you. My biggest problem was that I made too much money. They got rid of me to cut expenses and drive up the stock price. More for them. I will be replaced by someone making just over half what I made.

You know nothing about MNK as a company. The branded division started on the backs of the people you are making fun of and calling "dead wood." MNK bought a few products that a few companies no longer wanted, and guess what? The sales force did sell them and sold them well enough to help mold MNK into what it is today. We helped make it possible for everything else that came down the line, including your job today.

But that didn't matter because a bunch of us struggled with XXR. The worst product ever promoted by MNK, at the worst time in history to launch a narcotic. With little coverage and screwed up territories and target lists, now you reps with probably less than a year with the company can come on here and call us dead wood.

So keep it up Sparky...your time is coming. The rest of us are breathing free air.

Have fun leaving your family Sunday to get to a meeting.

We leave on Monday. I'm not disagreeing with anything you said, but my advice is to stay off this thread and move on with your life. If you are no longer an employee here, consider yourself lucky, lick your wounds, and don't look back. It makes absolutely no sense to keep trolling this board unless you actually still work here.

None of you would have ever had any succes lanuching Exalgo or Pennsaid today.
The market has changed. You could have sold Xartemis years ago but not today.
The company used us as guinea pigs. And the experiment failed

Are you kidding??? We are still employees here until Monday. We were still shipping stuff back today. They dragged out the layoff process to suck every last ounce of our emotional energy out of us. They forced us to stay in the field all last week. A compassionate company would have laid us off on Wednesday and had us complete checkout by Friday, so we could at least have one or two full weeks of severance.

So true, my horrible manager forced me to work in the field or face paying back my salary for the last week.

Hey buddy. Did you read the registration instructions? You're supposed to fly in on Sunday for the mandatory general session later that day.
