For those who left or are leaving

How did you spin this mess in your interview?! I’m not being sarcastic, I just really want to know. That’s the hardest part about trying to leave- what do you say? Most of us have been here 18 months at most so it’s a short time to already be leaving and I would guess that comes up in your interview. I was with my last company for many years so I have never been in this position before.

It’s quite simple. Just say the job was too hard and you are searching for something a little less challenging. You should have tons of offers to choose from!

Just be honest and let them know the company is mismanaged and there is no security here. Employees want to work for organizations that know what they are doing and there is a future. There is no future at Sage Therapeutics and certainly not a place where someone is going to retire.

If I was to interview- I would not make it about leaving Sage but more about the new opportunity you are interviewing for. I would highlight some good things you learned at Sage and then tell them that you are fine at Sage and doing well, but this new opportunity that you are interviewing for was so exciting and a great fit for your skill set that you had to explore it.

Sage Strong reps believe you must challenge yourself everyday, it'll be worth it! If you are not highly driven to succeed than Sage may not be the place for you. Sage Proud & Tough!!

Would you stop it with these Pollyanna messages! It is an insult to us all! The field force has done a tremendous job, but the company doesn't have their sh*t together. A GREAT employee DESERVES to be with a GREAT COMPANY. Sage Therapeutics is not a great company and the culture is toxic.

No Polly Pocket here, but I’m sticking it out. A successful FDA meeting late this quarter could be lucrative for those who stay. I’m choosing the glass half full view, despite this current slosh.

I see what you're trying to do but these disingenuous messages are strange. You're trying too hard.

Yes. Unfortunately there are weirdos on here that love to antagonize and rile people up. In many cases, they don't even work for the company and make statements to just piss people off. The real truth is practically everyone is looking for a new job and this includes many RBD's. I know my RBD is interviewing. This is a fact. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that this is not a good outfit to work for.

Let's state the obvious:
  1. The bonus sucks
  2. This is a heavily overly micromanaged company which has severely damaged the morale of the entire organization
  3. 217 is years away if ever
  4. Sage Central is abysmal and has absolutely destroyed any potential business
  5. Case Managers are no-talent, inexperienced twits
  6. Terrible marketing team
  7. Terrible IT department
  8. Terrible compliance department
  9. Heinous Payer Reimbursement Team that have single handedly botched up everything with the payers
  10. Completely Screwed Up Specialty Pharmacy

To state it even clearer, The company doesn't know what the hell they are doing making it impossible to be successful!

MOST ACCURATE POST ON ENTIRE SAGE THREAD! MORE RESIGNATIONS NEXT WEEK!

It has to be HR.

Please stop posting. We know you are a FIRED troll and want to "get back" at our company. 2020 is going to be a strong year for Sage and can't wait to sell the expanded indications later this year. Unfortunately, it appears our initial hirings for the sales force included some losers. Have a great weekend to my CURRENT Sage peers!!

You are so wrong. Buckle up. It’s about to be a bumpy ride if you stay here.

On point! Most of the reps are great but there are a few that need to be weeded out of the organization. We all knew that an emerging biotech will have challenges and I have say that we weathered them really well to date. Have a great weekend as well.

Thanks for posting 4 straight messages from the same person. Sage is trolling this thread and it is pathetic. Like others have stated, there is only one fact: Just about everyone is looking for a new opportunity. The future doesn't look bright at Sage Therapeutics.
