I'm an adult with ADD, I found this site by googling stuff about Concerta, FocalinXR, Straterra, and others.
I was on Concerta for about a year, and it worked OK, but at times I felt jittery, and at times I felt it wasnt working at all. My doctor switched me to Focalin XR about 6 months ago and I like it a lot. I take 20mg first thing in the morning, and I never really feel it "kick in", Ii just can tell that I concentrate better, and I dont get as jittery.
At my last med-check, I asked my doctor why there would be such a difference between the 2, and he told me that Concerta and Focalin XR are the exact same drug, but that the capsules they are in are different and that Focalin XR is basically released all day long. Is all that true?
I'm 32 yr oldd female, and live in the Chicage area (Naperville)
