Heads up on Flipt:
I went to pick up a prescription today knowing I was only $21 away from meeting my $1500 annual out-of-pocket cap this year. (I had used my Flipt app to get my totals last night.) The pharmacist said I owed nearly $300 on this month's medication. I knew that was incorrect.
So I called Flipt and the representative said I had only spent $700-odd dollars this year out-of-pocket. I told her that was incorrect and that i had added it up last night via the Flipt app and gave her the totals. I asked her to go through my "Retail History" for this year to add up my out-of-pocket costs. Well...I was right. I only have $21 left to meet my yearly cap.
She put me on hold to "talk to her supervisor". After 15 minutes (Not kidding.), she came back to say that they are "escalating it up" to get fixed. I asked how I would be notified it was fixed and how fast would it be as I only have 1 day left of medication. She said they would "rush" it and call me. I asked her to email me, too, as i do not want to have to call again tomorrow and/or have to pay $300 for my needed meds tomorrow.
Moral of the story: Flipt sucks and double check your out-of-pocket costs on their app to make sure you do not pay anything past your cap.
