Fixing oncology glob development

OGD was better under Gabriella. She brought in the only competent MDs. Pablo is failing. They say you are only as good as the people you can bring in. Lead summit taught us that OGD is failing. Failed studies. Failed adboards. Failed people.

To fix ogd we need to bring Gabrella back and to send Pablo to safety where his abilities are more akin. Since hes comfortable around FMGs, he will feel right at home with safety docs. The mismanagement in his group is shocking. Paid vacations in Venice. No shows at ad boards. Botched presentations. Failed filings. Lest we forget who recommended to drop half of the neuroendocrine filing the day before ODAC. That's malpractice and grounds for immediate dismissal.

We need a develpment lead who has more than ONE filing under his belt. Novartis needs to be competitive against the Genentechs and BMSs. We can't afford another month of the pipeline dissolving, datalocks being delayed. We need someone competent.

Its sad to see ogd tank like this under Pablo. He has made too many hiring mistakes and his gcphs all wanna be gphs and they aren't even qualitifed to be gcphs at genentech and roche. Pabs put people with no development experience in leadership roles. They can't communicate to KOLs as shown at Lead summit. When he was hired it was recognized it was a stretch but the position was vacant so long and every qualified person wanted AR's job. Its sad when your regsafety head has more development experience than your development head. The survey also reveals the utter discontent among pablo's group. Herve is aware of the problem and how some of these trials were so poorly designed and won't meet primary endpoints. We can only hope he fixes the problem. I agree sending pabs to safety is a good idea. Hes comfortable around foreign docs and not US docs. Pabs was awful at Lead

pi3k we are still waiting for a dose. a sachet is not acceptable or marketable formulation. can you imagine your trials? before pabs we had a huge lean in pi3k and now we are behind genentech and merck is catching up. because pabs couldnot hire a qualified US physician externally, he transfered from within. so christin gets pulled from a slam dunk submission to pi3k. so he still has no submission experience but got a promotion. pi3k our most important molecule is under weak medical leadership. putting sammit so that riva could be the de facto gph is not smart. better to have gone outside the organization to find a qualified us oncologist who has filed a drug. fran's no better either her presentation at lead summit was amongst the worst. made us look inept.

Dont forget about EPO and ASA. both programs Pablo drove into the ground. We had the best in class molecules but the studies were designed to fail and the medical leaders he put had no development experience. They were really nice girls but thats it. I dont think either was a US trained oncologist to make matters worse. The idea of putting friends over qualifications into leadership positions put programs and patients at risk. These two programs show what should have been block buster drugs failing because of bad leadership decisions on his part.
