First- Succession planning, now restructure/ Layoff policy

I dont know about you guys but this is pretty blatant. I just looked at some of the other pharma links on cafe and this seems to be how it went down with the others. Forest may be using the same consulting company to guide them through layoffs.

Its not if but when, no one one here can be that stupid.

Look at the big picture, we are growing too slowly and the street will hammer forest. Then throw in the Icahn scenario and it all makes sense. Im outta here, sooner rather than later. Good luck to you all.

If you are uncomfortable and feel you could be released of your duties do not wait for someone else to determine if you keep your house and feed your kids. Take action now and start stream-lining your life. Pronto. Cancel everything you do absolutely need to survive, gym membership, Dish TV, vacations, eating out etc. It is not much fun at first, but your family grows closer from meeting challenges together.

Most important, start networking working like mad and use every resource at your disposal, ie family, friends, college connections - the list goes on.

Some younger less expensive reps in the right geographies will be retained and those that are not will most likely find another job. Over 40, forget it. Will need to totally re-invent yourself at a far lower level of compensation - and I mean minimal.

Under 40 you will most likely land on your feet. After 45 there is a small chance you will be re-employed with great connections, but once you reach 50 your are officially finished, minus, a few anomalies.

The best part: you will find a way to make and in the long-run be happier and stronger for it.

Best luck to all of you.

Sounds like someone under 40 wrote this. Guess what? You either die or you get old. Which one do you want?
