Fired for numbers

Has anyone ever actually been fired from APUS for sales numbers? Seriously looking for examples. Seems it's always someone who may be on a PP but is actually terminated for falsifying something ie calls, exp report. We have an AD whose lost his damn mind.
 






The company suffered a firing crisis in 2009. Some sales directors wanted to clean house because a launch of a bad drug did not take off. Some of those managerd who think they are cool an one of us are still here and took on this firing process. Many good people were fired during the recession for numbers. All these managers have two faces. They will put their own mother under the bus just to make themselves look good. They think they are cool and good to work for. We know what you did.
 






On September 21, 2012, a civilization-altering development will jam up our credit lines, mute the roar of our mighty military engine, topple the world's biggest monopoly, and send shockwaves across markets. We are not going to all die, but we should not expect to continue to receive the generous government benefits at the low taxes we now have. Benefits will be cut, taxes will be raised, economic growth will stagnate and civil unrest will occur. Desperation is a template of what is to come. Sept 21, 2012 USA will go into free fall and the wave will cross the world like a fire storm. Cities will burn and the rule of law will be gone. People will starve , Anarchy, Civil unrest and high crime rates and it will be every man for himself. Being within the security of a large global corporation like ours will possibly save you; however, if you are fired "for your numbers" anytime in the next 13 months, god help you and your family.

So true what you said about firing crisis in 2009. Amazing how many Perf. Plans were issued that summer. Why so many at the same time? Mere coincidence? I don't think so. So much abuse of power by insecure, inept, skilless managers - the likes of which were hired in Fall of 2006. Astellas lowered it's hiring standards for managers that Fall...
 






Some of the new reps that are in love with their mamager have no idea what they have done in the past. How quick will they put you under the bus? Ask about your currrent manager and see how many people they let go in 2009.
 






Yeah, remember the manager in the Mid Atlantic Area cleaned house? Reps with good track records, hand-picked to come to the "Different from the Start" company, most with more awards/honors and years in industry than the manager. Within a couple years of "managing" them...suddenly they weren't "up to par". Shows how difficult it is for an inexperienced, insecure, manager to lead a team like that. Most managers would cherish a team like that!!!...
You are correct...standards for hiring managers reached an ALL TIME LOW beginning late 2006...when the company began hiring those with little or no experience...those working for small "start ups" where the product wasn't approved... then they landed here...

OP here. I still haven't seen an answer to my question. Has anyone ever been fired strictly for Rx numbers? The are numerous examples where someone was put on a PP due to numbers but the reason given for firing was always something else.

When DM's fire reps for just low results I get very sad and often get nervous explosive diarrhea. My Mommy always said I was special and completely entitled to everything with little to no work. I have a closet full of participation trophies in my closet from junior soccer that show how special I truly am. I want to sue this mean company so bad that when I think about it I go into spasm and punch myself in the nuts until I pass out. Someone please notice me.......

The simple answer is no. Getting rid of someone based solely on numbers is hard to do because you then have a defined benchmark that everyone needs to be held against. By find circumatances or activities against a code of conduct, compliance etc is cut and dry.

Then give them a collection bucket and a sign for your wacko church and put them on an intersection in return for 3 meals and a place to sleep. That's the only people who will listen to your dribble!

It's like someone on this post has said....the reasons for firing you are presented in a way that's questionable. If you're not meeting your objective, but your market share is growing, it's a reason to put the "wheels in motion". The same is true for the reverse, you can have a growing market share, but you're not meeting the "ridiculously high" objective you've been given. It's a NO-WIN situation for you...especially if you challenge an insecure manager, or attempt to have a mature/civil discussion with an insecure, inexperienced manager...OR heaven forbid, you actually disagree with something they've said etc.....
Seen it over and over again...especially to some very seasoned reps!

The Reps with true skill, talent and integrity - most of them were "shown the door" between 2008 - 2010

That is so sad. I'll bet those poor reps are still crying and shitting theselves from the stress. So sad.
