FIRE KEVIN

Let's agree KS is among the luckiest people on the planet. His definition of good is 'that all the other guys stink worse than me'. He has no obvious singular accomplishment and produces 0 return to shareholders. He believes he's in the same category of success as Steve Jobs and that his comp increase of 20% was well earned. Remarkable, on the day of Steve Jobs passing we get KS thoughts, and on the day of 400 RIF's we get nothing...man lives on fantasy island

Kevin sharer shares NOTHING! He is the main reason this company is like one of his navy ships sinking in the ocean. The only pipeline that exists is the one with money flowing into his pocket$! Kevin needs to be fired already!!!! What and who is keeping him at Amgen??? Kevin, your glory days are over (if there were ever any). Dennis Fenton left on time. A lot of us miss you and your simple but outstanding demeanor!!!!

Agree completely, but wasn't his comp increase 37% or roughly 20x the median increase?

If the guys has some type of respect for himmself, he should leave. After all if you have not been able to do or accomplish anything in 12 years you should realize are worst the same as a dinar ( shift)

Kevin MUST retire on his 65th birthday (company policy). He is now 63 1/2 years old. He has been with the company for a long time and, his retirement is close enough for me to bear (will close enough).

He will use part of that for the Tony Hooper who came from BMS. Seems he will be the next CEO. Just you wait.

It already has been discussed, and appears the chosen will be Mr. Bradway. Presidents have been the ones promoted. Bradway is the current president and being groomed by Kevin. Let's give him a chance.

Kevin was named as the number 8 most undeservedly overpaid CEO in the corporate America. He made about $22M in 2 years while investors got zero raturn from Amgen shares.

If he gets fired he would get a soft landing worth millions, millions! I didn't get millions in my get out of dodge letter! NO, I ended up in the Plams ballroom that looked like a bad 1970s porn room with an HR rep that didn't and couldn't anwser certain questions and didn't like being there. So very nice indeed!

America’s Most-Overpaid-CEOs

Kevin Sharer
> Company: Amgen Inc.
> Total compensation: $21,138,133
> Change in stock price: -3.0%

Sales at the world’s largest biotech company rose from $14.6 billion in 2009 to $15.1 billion in 2010. Net income was higher by 2% to $4.6 billion. Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN) has relied heavily on its anemia drugs, which have experience eroding sales over the past two years. The firm’s flagship drugs, Epogen and Aranesp, fall into this red blood cell booster category. Largely because of worry over the future of these products, the stock has been flat for three years. Amgen’s margins also likely will be hurt by the introduction of generic versions of some of its drugs. Sharer made an extraordinary $26 million over the two years that ended in 2010. During that time Amgen’s shares were flat compared to a 65% increase in the Nasdaq.
