Hey Guys,

Did anybody receive their benefits certificate of group health? I got mine yesterday and it shows my medical coverage ending on 2/28. I thought they were covering 1 year.
 






























COBRA is kicking in March 1st for us. Novartis pays for it fyi. they did not mention in letter stating that after we were terminated. WE DO have insurance but thru Cobra. so what exactly is that?

Hey asswipe, the MINIMUM anyone got was 20 weeks pay. Didn't matter if you only worked here 1 month. Anyone with more than 10 years got 2 weeks per year, so lets do the math...I'll wait for you....good, if someone had 25 years with Novartis then they got 50 weeks pay...

Most people with 20 plus years were making 80-100k base....so you see what I am getting here...the minimum anyone prob will get is $30-$40k before taxes....our severance letter told us exactly what the payout was going to be.

My reality check was when I realized how HAPPY I am after 12 years with Novartis, that I no longer have to work for them anymore! I was planning on quitting anyways because I am opening a business....best thing is that they just PAID me $24k plus gave me a free year of medical ins to quit!...thanks Uncle Novartis!
 






Re: health insurance. I called HR about the letter stating that coverage ends on 2/28. They said that COBRA starts 3/1 and that our coverage does not change for medical and dental. Whatever you had before stays the same. You can pay extra for vision. Apparently, letters were sent out on 2/17 stating the COBRA coverage but I havent gotten mine yet. So, your coverage stays the same for 12 months starting on your termination date, and Novartis foots the bill.
 






The total compensation is on ADP Pay. They are taking ut 25%, I wil have $94, 381. This addd to my new job will make this by far the most profitable year I have ever had. In addition, I have absolutely no stress in my job now, and view everything as a fantastic turn of fate
