Great call today letting us know Xeljanz reps are getting salary increases July 1st as much as $38k for the lower reps making $120k and $5k for reps in the $160-175k range.
This is an effort to compete w other specialty companies that are paying 180k salaries.
About 40% of reps will get salary increases that is separate from merit & career ladders which is another $5k in Sept.
So at most a Xeljanz rep will be getting $43k salary bump in 2020 if they get max on both July & Sept.

This is easy money!

If I were in charge I would let all you SOBs go; overpaid as it is and very poorly organized with much redundancy. This group needs to be gutted and rebuilt.
1000000000% AGREE
From Pres, VP, RDs and half the reps who are primary care 30 second marketing line mindset who could not tell you the anything scientifically about the drug that is not on a marketing sales aid.
The entire division Top to Bottom had been watered down the past 1-2 yrs. And now they are going go get up to 30k salary increases to 170k to compete w competition????
They are not Oncology or Biotech skill sets or talent--- now Pfizer is paying them like it. This is an insult to all the 170k Oncology reps who actually know science.
Well good riddance as none or the reps now will be looking for jobs so we dont have to worry about them coming over to Oncology & watering down our division like they have Xeljanz

Bonehead who flunked math.
What is 38% of 100k- hint it starts w 3 .
The range is 2% to 38% depending on current salary. Lower salary higher the increase.
90-100k will get 38%
160k reps will get 2%
Xeljanz reps have salary of 88k to 192k that a few 30yr HOF reps have.

No wonder you are in Derm and should be a cso rep.

But, these reps have to make calls in pairs?

Very true, we have 265 reps for an average territory of just 50-80 docs so we have no other choice to see doctors together and both record it. Our VP who is from marketing wants 7 calls a day per rep. That is 100 calls a wk for 2 reps which is more than docs we have in TCL so to check the HQ box, we need to make joint calls.
And yes with reps salary now at 150k, that is 300k per territory for joint calls. throw in bonus and 370k per terr.
We all this is a total joke & 50% too many reps but we are not going to say anything cause we dont want a lay off. But all agree 150 reps too many.

inaccurate post.., I was lucky enough to receive a bump(I&I Derm), which I wasn’t expecting cuz I am nicely compensated.. bottom line it was less than 1%. So thankful to Big Blue this company has been amazing especially during this crazy time!

Agree Derm reps are the least talented & skilled in Global Pfizer. CSO are more impactful.
Making Derm Specialty w 150k base when other companies Derm is PC level pay, is a total comical joke.
300plus reos, 4yrs and only 100mil when being preferred on most plans including Medicaid & Med D, is laughable given the over pay of those reps.
