Fighting to keep a job you hate.....

I know this is a bad economy. I was laid off in 2008. It was tough to find a job then and it is tough to find a job now.

With that said, being laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me. I thought I was making decent money at Novartis. What I was doing was trading my self respect, my quality of life and my general happiness for a job that I hated. I was trapped by the fear of change and what I thought was a lot of money.

I went through a time where I was on unemployment and was looking hard for a job. Guess what? I found one, I love it and I never looked back. I make a lot more now than I did then, my company treats me with respect and my private life has improved because I am not unhappy at work.

I know the next few months will be stressful, but hang in there, your life is about to get better.

Dude or Dudette!!! I love you. Thanks for your optimism. It is sorely needed and much appreciated. Deep inside I think we all know that NVS is a toxic environment to work in. But fear of the unknown is a powerful thing and can keep people fastened to their seats right to the end. Here's to more self respect and better working conditions for all. Thanks again.
