Feedback on the New York Regional Manager

I was recently contacted by a man on LinkedIn about a position with Scilex. He's reached out to a few people on LinkedIN that I know also. He's messaging me late at night. He asked me to apply to the job. He also asked me a few inappropriate questions. He claims he is the National Sales Trainer as well. How is HR allowing a man in management to poach candidates on LinkedIN? Isn't there a person in the corporate office that would handle recruiting, screening and vetting?

This guy is a creep. The job is posted $120 base b/c that's the law here in NJ. This Manager said he's paying $80-$90 and encouraged me to lower my salary expectations b/c """""those who are the most flexible with a lower salary are guaranteed to be moved along""""".. His exact words... Turns out he's been doing this to quite a few women. Not a good look.

Hello, Scilex HR -- how are you allowing this to happen? You have reps who are paid base salaries of $100k and up... Now you have this Manager low balling candidates? There are many ways to interpret this guy's low balling but it looks very discriminatory.

Has anyone actually sat down and interviewes for this position? Or is he still looking for a date

I interviewed with this clown.. A nice way to put it is that yes, he's looking for a date. My other friend who interviewed with him told me he requested references and copies of annual reviews/field coaching reports prior to making an offer. My friends are telling me he's got his brother working for him as a rep down in South Jersey/Philadelphia. That's the only man he's go on his team.. All the rest are women..

I have an interview coming up let's see how it goes.

He will ask you for references, Annual Reviews, Field Coaching Reports, business plans, and various other documents that are the property of your current employer prior to the interview. He will email you around 11pm the night before the interview requesting all of this. Also, be prepared for him to lower the salary to $80.

I really wish I had discovered this forum before wasting weeks interviewing with what seems like a sh*tshow of a company. I had the displeasure of interviewing with MC. How this man has succeeded in sales is beyond me. He has ZERO personality. The interview felt like a police interrogation, and some questions he asked just literally made no sense and were not applicable to an entry-level position. I realize that both parties in an interview will not always “click”, but this man seemed utterly miserable from the start. If offered the position (with having no prior knowledge of lack of leadership, and the Sorrento bankruptcy) I certainly would still turn it down because my experience with MC was just that terrible, and he as a person was just that unlike-able.

What else would you expect from Purdue Pharma re-treads? What kind of selling skills were needed to sell Opioids? Looks like most of management were pulled from Purdue, I would take that as a red flag based off the Purdue connection.

I was field position introduced to Scilex for a field position back in April of this year. The manager was cordial and the interview went well. The outside recruiter had been successful in getting a top candidate hired so he encouraged me to "hang in there". After several months the territory is still vacant. Not certain why a territory was still open. It was vacant for over six months. Apparently, no urgency to fill the position.

They just want to steal your info, and steal your contacts. Went into on competing companies etc. this company is a joke. Lidocaine patches, and migraine medication? Really?
