fde conversion

FDE's gives the company flexibility if reduced head count is needed. Current FDE will be extended, though to maintain that flexibility FDE's will not transfer to FTE's. There are many great FDE reps, however in today's environment increasing the FTE head count is not warranted.

So in your opinion the current FDE employees will just have their contract extended a little longer? We currently have a vacancy in 1 of our fixed duration employees positions and they are hiring for another 2 year contract. I am currently a fixed duration employee and I have an opportunity to go to another company but I already know that it would be a horrible work environment. I've been asked to go to the final interview and I can already tell that the manager will be difficult to work for. Please let me know if you hear of anything regarding be fixed duration employee position.

Don't leave for a known bad environment!!! I know being an FDE can be stressful with the lack of knowledge, though, I think in the long run most will continue to be employed at Lilly.

I have been offered a full time position with BI with a salary raise but I am not sure about the manager. I think he is a bit of a micromanager. My current manager at lilly is great. Treats me with respect. I've been told from others that Lilly is most likely going to keep a percentage of the PC3's because they have to honor the "detail" agreement with BI. Is this true? Thanks for your help.

Yes it is a very tough decision. I have to think lily is going to keep a certain percentage of those pc 3 repersentatives. We have to honor that agreement with BI plus with all the product development for diabetes I would like to think that they have to keep some of us around. Maybe it is just wishful thinking but I don't see how they would let all of the pc 3 reps go and then rehire when all the productd are launched._ if you have any thoughts please share them with me.
