A company is the sum of the individual parts of which it is comprised of. Sure, the high level leadership are to blame to a certain extent for the position that lilly finds it'self in, but it is also because of the inbreeding and nepotism that was and still is rife at lilly. Donchaknow that inbreeding causes retardation...

One thing they did right was the development of the Cialis brand against the well entrenched Viagra. Also, Cymbalta has been a sales success in a crowded indication competing with so many good, dirt cheap generic SSRIs out there. The R and D record, however, is abysmal. The pipeline has been and continues to be a horrible nightmare.
