Express Scripts - Wow, 2017 will be a great year.







I started looking for a new job as soon as that contract was announced. This was suppose to be an easy relaxing company. The expectations after the last couple of big contracts for 2017 will be too unreasonable.
 






That has been an ongoing problem. Expectations not at all realistic for market, selling environment, restrictions, unwillingness of pharmacies to stock. A Few have found a way to sell this successfully but it is the most difficult sell I have ever been involved with! I've never worked so hard for so little ROI. Not sure what the future holds. It will be even more difficult with new ADF's coming to market.
 






The pain market is in the Commodity sales space. For those not familiar with economics this concept will be difficult to understand. Winning a contract with Express Script and other major MCO is a tremendous win. It leaves no excuses for doctors to write a product which is safer and less risk for potential litigation down the road.

Expect high goals next year. Excuses will no longer be tolerated.

Safer? Really? Did the FDA tell you to say that??less risk for potential litigation? Who the hell are you and how clueless are you?
There is no safer opioid! They all have abuse and addiction potential and those kind of statements will get your company a CIA and major corporate fine! This product has potential but you might want to pick up a newspaper and familiarize yourself with the crack down on opioids. Your no excuses will be tolerated mentality is typical big pharma mentality as if you are selling a diabetes medication! Are you aware of the shift away from opioids? Are you aware of the refusal to stock opioids by retail pharmacies and the thresholds being instituted by the DEA to the wholesalers. Are you aware that the CDC just came out with new guidelines to decrease prescribing of opioids? Are you aware that the DEA just cut the supply of oxycodone to manufacturers in an effort to decrease ability to manufacture to decrease availability? Are you aware that medical schools are now teaching doctors that opioids are not a solution for chronic pain? Longacting opioids are not a long term solution?? Just keep living in your "no excuses will be tolerated" mindset and you will be doing plenty of rehiring! It's not always a sales issue when opioids aren't flying off the shelves! You obviously haven't been in this market long! Managed care is nice to give access to the doctors who will prescribe but those are becoming fewer and fewer.

My career may be short along with 98%of the rest of the reps with the company because whether you want to believe it or not, this is reality and you can look at the sales and see it for yourself! How many territories getting 0-1 prescriptions per week? Most!! Managed care isn't the only issue. Keep managing by turning a blind eye to reality. Come down on your reps and work with them 2 days every 2 weeks because you think managed care is and has been the only problem in this market! Just remember your success depends on the success of your reps. It's not excuses it is facts and you obviously don't know this market! How long have you been in it? Have you sold in it in the last few years? I already know the answer to these questions just by your post! Bet the turnover in your region is very high!

The "idiot poster above" is no idiot! You are the idiot! Look at sales compared to sales forecast? when I see the ranking reports I laugh at the lack of prescriptions from each territory! The arrogant no excuses poster is some lame manager who thinks he can beat down all reps who aren't meeting goals. That's pretty much everyone! You may want to change your tune and live in reality big pharma boy!

Agreed. Now if you have good MCO access in your territory you are golden. If not, start looking. I'm in Cali so this is a gift. Many of my physicians were happy with this drug, they hated the hoops they had to go through to prescribe it. Not anymore! 2017 will be good for most of us. Not so much for some but good for most.

The excuses from so many retarded lazy reps amazes me. If you can't handle the challenge leave! One of the reps I hired said he loves the challenge and guarantees success in his territory because of the relationships he has acquired over the years and he's sold tougher products in the past with worst manage care coverage. Now this same idiot is complaining about how high his quotas are. Lazy bastard. He is on a plan sometime in the very near future just like many of you morons.
