Expected hours & vacation

Hello Forest Reps! I am in the final stages of the interview process.....after about 8 interviews. Some questions I do not want to ask the DM or RD is
1. My current job is pretty relaxed. 8 to 5 and not a minute past. How much am I going to be expected to work (including at home computer entry)?

2. I heard they only give you 5 vacation days the first year, and you can't use any the first 6 months. I currently have 3 weeks vacation. What is the story with vacation time, and is this negotiable?

3. I have no issues with the pay...I am fine with Total Compensation of around $70k.....just as long as I am not working 60 hours a week for it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated....especially from current Forest reps who are happy!

You should ask to talk to the reps you'll be working with before you accept the job. Territories are different. Only they would know.

So they told you total comp is $70, good luck with that.
Yes, you will be working from 8 to ? (unitl you finish all your reports)
Your DM will constantly call you to check in or leave vm on your phone.
Once you are a "Forest Rep", Forest owns you.

How do you expect to negotiate vacation time unless you "bring it up" with the hiring manager? I have never heard of a rep getting more than the standard 5 days at hiring, but maybe you should at least try. By the way, you get 5 days for the 2nd 6 months. On your 1 year anniversary you get 2 weeks. So you really get 3 weeks in your first 2 years. You just don't get any the first 6 months. I left this shit-hole company a while ago though...precisely because it is filled with bottom feeders that are happy with making 70k.

You can easily negotiate 3 weeks at start, unless that's just hospital.

Above post is inaccurate. At six months, you get a week. At one year, you get another week. Not three weeks...that comes at your three year anniversary. You can roll over one week from the previous year, but no more. Sick Days expire at year's end. You also get a couple of personal days and a floating holiday. Decent managers understand this and allow you to use sick days to allow for a week's vacation roll over.

Above post was written by a r*****. Forest came out with a new vacation policy at the beginning of the summer. It clearly stated that reps receive 3 weeks @ 1 year.

No, above post was written by someone who left the company before the change was instituted. Hmmm...you seem to still be a part of FRX...WHO'S THE r*****? :)
