Excited to Join the Forest team

I was recently offered a job at Forest and will, most likely, accept the position. I am somewhat new to the pharma industry but young and hungry. I have heard a lot of positive things about Forest.
I am interested in getting some feedback from current employees.
I was told that the commissions are high and pay raises come on a yearly basis as long as your coming close to your goals.
How are the managers at Forest or management philosophy in regards to supporting their employees and encouraging them.
This would probably be my first real sales job and am anxious to pound the pavement.
Any comments are welcome..
Thanks!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Best advice to you would be to get out now!! But you can't, BC you have no experience - they have you right where they want you. So my advice is to keep your head down and be as positive as you can over the next 2-3 years of your life. Then get out, FAST - unless layoffs happen.

Take pleasure in everything outside of work, that is, outside of 10-2. Otherwise, you will refer to these years as the lost years of your life. Good luck with the baseline and quota lottery!!! And I hope you aren't located in Southern California. Worst managers in the industry here.

Have a great 2-3 years of sales with the most unprofessional, least accountable, chop-shop in the game.

I was at Forest for 2 years... And without all the 'haha-ing' like ^that guy, I couldn't have put it any better. Getting a good mgr is a crap shoot, just like your baselines, etc. Take it all with a grain of salt and enjoy while u can....

Last one in, first one out. We have a layoff coming due to the loss of Lexapro. Unfortunately, you're not going to be here 12 months from now. On a positive note, you can add the job to your resume.

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are.

what a funny joke! a pretend newbie!

Okay....so if I hear what you all are saying....You're saying it's a shit company, the managers are full of it and I should look to pay my bills over the next few years and then get out. What are the expected hours? If I don't work a full day should I feel guilty?

Dont be! I was excited too when I got the job. Until about 3 days into training. Then 2 days in the field realized what a joke the whole job is.

First of all, yes you should feel (at least a little) guilty. Second of all, at Forest it's not an option since they will micro-manage and time stamp you to death. The days of the 10-2 reps are long gone, be prepared for 9-5 in the field, countless dinner programs, and all admin tasks completed during your personal time. Good luck with the worst pharma company around!
