Everytime I come to this board...

I'm reminded of how much I sacrificed for this company, and how I regret most of it. Former employee here from the ill-fated dV specialist division. How's everyone doing? By the tone of things, seems like sales is still complaining about how much their lives suck. Hey! You know what sucks? Moving away from all your family and friends for 45K/yr to work as a robot pusher and glorified janitor and then being laid off and stranded in a place you don't want to be after a year or so because your job performing menial tasks was dissolved. Even though management was rather aloof to me in my tenure and didn't put any effort at all into evaluating my skills, they were certain I couldn't be successful in sales. That's ok. I wouldn't think Stephen Hawking to be a genius by just looking at him, so why would they think I would be good at sales? Did they try to find me another position in the company that maybe would be a fit to help someone out who sacrificed a lot of time, made little money for themselves (but if the value of a CSR is measured by cases, made lots for everyone above me), all while keeping the customers happy and the patients safe? Nope. That would take too much effort. Easier just to let him go so we can get back to evaluating which Range Rover we're gonna buy next.

Seriously. You sales pussies who are crying about management making your lives miserable can eat a dick. You're making over $200k/yr, easy. The least you can do is deal with a little managerial rhetoric and EOQ pressure.

Go cry to some other company. You don't work at Intuitive anymore so stay off the Intuitive board. Your whiny rant is petty and pathetic.

Perfectly said and I'm sorry to hear about your situation! Like you, I've never seen so many overpaid reps cry and whine about their situation. They all knew EXACTLY what they were getting into before joining the organization...if they didn't...shame on them. All of us who work in the OR know about Intuitive and the expectations that their reps are under. When I'm having a bad day, I always jump on this board to get a good chuckle from the prima donnas! Keep it up it guys and gals..it makes for a great end to each day!

Might not work there anymore, but I did work there long enough to have an opinion about the experience. Im not looking for any sympathy, just trying to illustrate how truely pathetic the reps are who are complaining about their high paying jobs. The majority of us specialists who were let go wouldve gladly taken your jobs, even at half your salaries in that associate position, which is exactly the same as the CSR job from what Ive heard.

By the way... just because you covered some cases doesn't mean you can close business and hold surgeons accountable

Thats pretty easy to say to someone when they weren't given the chance to prove or disprove that. But you're right. Covering cases doesnt make you a superstar sales guy who's amazing skills are worth $250k a year.

So, IF you can close business and hold surgeons accountable does not make you a man. It means nothing. Not to me, or anyone else. Now, go put on your lipstick and thong, and sit in your mom's basement and tell everyone how you can close surgeons and hold them accountable. Nice job, you have now passed Sales 001. You ROCK!
