Eve of Destruction

Eve of destruction, tax deduction,
city inspectors, bill collectors,
mod clothes in demand, population out of hand,
suicide, too many bills, hippies moving to the hills.
People all over the world shouting, "End the war."

And the band played on.

"Ball of Confusion", Temptations, 1970.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Nothing that even remotely resembled work has happened today.

Thanks for the job hunting golf vacation Stacy. I'm just plugging in calls because I know there is no one who gives a damn what I do. My DM is playing more golf than I am (and that's a LOT). My DM rode with me recently and wrote up my FCR at the turn over a hot dog and beer.

Since the first round of PIPs hit us, I haven't been to a single office because there is no one that's going to check up on me. Why would they? If they don't get laid off, I probably will. And if we don't then we've got a new alignment - thanks ZS - and a clean slate.

It is sad that they had no problem downsizing in August. They are ignoring that the situation isn't any better for the end of Sept. If they hold reps to the August expectation then the sales force would be almost non-existant. By all observations, they are changing their criteria and giving a significant number of current reps a free ride, probably more than were let go in August.

I won't be surprised if we lose our jobs this week...at least inVentiv reps.

Yes it does seem that we are ending our partnership with Inventive. Now that Mallinckrodt is almost right sized and company mergers are finalized, we have the head count to regroup. Hope you guys get a new contract soon. Things don't always make sense but in this case it's the territory viability and not the rep that sells this drug. Reps that work and remind offices do help but let's not pretend that any rep that actually shows up could do 50 scripts since launch. Not personal just geography

Wow. You are so right. I'm reading this in an office and this will be the last call I make. If I get let go then I didn't waste any more time trying to sell this POS. If I get to stay I'll start working again next year.

this is a known fact. many territories and districts were not viable.
not a situation to take personal.

It's hard not to take it kinda personal when you get forced out, when all the mistakes were made by the bigwigs who are still aboard and getting filthy rich. I'm no longer getting a paycheck. That's personal!

i feel the same way. an obvious injustice but typical these days.
XXR could carve out a niche, but never will because of inaccurate market analysis and unrealistic expectations, ignorant of the greater culture shift.
people want to try this, but are afraid. firing us and bringing in newbies won't change that fact one iota. management is playing at a losing strategy.

Yeah, my blood's so mad feels like coagulatin'
I'm sitting here just contemplatin'
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation.
Handful of senators don't pass legislation
And marches alone can't bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin'
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin'

And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you don't believe
We're on the eve
of destruction.
