Evamist

Surely management realizes that Evamist cannot address all of the menopausal symptoms like some of the competititive products. Namely, Evamist cannot address vaginal atrophy symptoms because sufficient blood levels of estrogen cannot be achieved with the product.

Surely any management team would not focus on what their product cannot do. They concentrate on what their product CAN do, and try to brand, market, and sell their product based upon its' attributes. It is up to the competition to try to convince the customers that their product is superior, and that this superiority is important. DUHHHHHH

Don't you think that is may be a bit misleading to try to position Evamist as an effective treatment for all of the symptoms of menopause, when it is clear that it is effective only for hot flashes? Docs are not that ignorant of what kind of blood levels of estrogen are required to address other menopausal symptoms (particularly vaginal atrophy symptoms). The company reps make a really bad impression when they, and their promotional materials, gloss over the fact that Evamist cannot address all the symptoms of menopause. Deliberately misleading a doc is not only unethical and probably illegal, but it can certainly affect your doc's prescribing habits. DUHHHHHH!

You really don't get it do you? Any ETHICAL company and it's reps would make sure that ALL the information about a product is disclosed, including whatever the product can't do. It's misleading (and illegal) to only describe the virtues of a product and not disclose any negatives. Docs are very sensitive to this, which may explain why so many TherRx reps are not welcome in so many doctors offices.

I'd be real cautious if the company is telling you that you need not describe Evamist, or any other product for that matter, completely and truthfully.

Worry about what your company is doing, not mine.
