Europe vs the States

I have been fortunate enough to lead teams both in Europe and in the United States. I have seen comments on this site about how lazy sales reps are, how they don't do what is expected, etc. I can tell you that employees in the States can be sacked 1000 times faster than in Europe. Don't let anyone from Ireland get on their high horse and say sales is lazy. It's an absolute debacle trying to fire someone in Ireland or the UK. All I know is that sales people in this company work(US based) work harder than 99% of the entire EU employees.

This company is in a downward spiral because of the lack of culture and leadership, not from the people doing the day to day.

I concur 100%... very accurate post

the states is much more competitive with overlapping targets but what I hate seeing (even if you are hard working) is the bitching about the perks. Whenever I hear complaining about the car or time frame of bonus etc and it's all based on other companies, you are basically the whiny kid in class who is upset because someone else in class had a nicer birthday or a shinier bike.

You are obviously not in sales. These are things that other companies invest in, in order to attract potential employees. Shinier bike/better company. Call it what you will.

Exceeept I've been in sales for almost 6 years now so nice try on that one. The shinier bike is just a tool. A Chevy equinox does the exact same job as an Audi A3. The difference is whether your ego gets fed or not. Do you also complain if you get an iPhone 8 and not iPhoneX or if your computer is a Lenovo instead of a Dell? Take your pettiness and go push some more blame on others for your own failures.

Most of us could care less and are not complaining about cars or phones or even when bonuses are paid out. Those were a few random individuals that need their 2 personal days back Shire stole to get their stuff situated. We do have a problem with bonus AMOUNTS being changed/lowered with a week left in the quarter. We do have a problem with the CEO ruining the company and making $25 million u.s. dollars annually while doing so. That should not be tolerated and it is almost inconceivable that this leadership team allows it to happen

And you keep shopping at Walmart, whilst I shop at Marcus Neiman.
The Jones are trying to keep up with me. I got the best and settle for nothing less.

Haha it is amazing how entitled you feel to things that you have not worked for and have zero ownership over (such as company tools/property).

The fact that you're a grown adult (at least physically, mentally is questionable) that feels the need to boast about his clothing brand speaks volumes and I think some 16 year old high school gossip girl groups would welcome you.

Since your parents have obviously dropped the ball on their duties I'll give you a piece of advice: regardless of the emblem on the front of the hood, it doesn't hide the douche behind the steering wheel.
