Ethicon Gynecare Rant

Come on UPPER E'fn MANAGEMENT!!!!!!

You want us to grow business and you think this is going to be done through coming out with a larger piece of Interceed. Are you kidding yourself or what? Are you that out of touch with the market place or what? Or are you just drinking Hector's kool-aid?

Look if you want to grow this segment you need to change the indication to use in general and laproscopic surgery. WOW!!!! that was hard to come up with that idea. Make me a product director or even put me in charge. Oh wait I'm not the kool-aid drinking kind of person!! I would not fit into to your meetings and be able to say" Yes Bridget & Adrian, that is a brilliant idea to make a larger size of interceed that should grow our business by 500% and get Dr's that aren't using it to start.

Are you guys that dumb to realize it took more money to change the packaging than what this will produce in additional revenue! Oh wait, Hector and all the head nodders said it was a great idea so it must be a great idea then.

Can we be adaptive to the market place ( in all product segments) or create segments) instead of jamming the same piece of garbage re-wrapped to out customers. This and only this will grow this company.

For 10 years; what has been the chief complaint about Thermachoice.....The 8 minute time. What do we do...IGNORE and and tell our customers that we reduce pain that's why it takes longer. Once again we don't respond to the market we just spin it through marketing.

TVT's: Well Dr we have 1% better cure rates, who cares they all work the same in your hands. Come on...what if we reduced the price to $500...Hospitals would FORCE Dr's to use ours. And we would grow business. I can't wait until Feb 2012..that price increase should be enough to put my customers over the top.

prolift/prosima; No....those 250 lawsuits wrapped up into a class action federal court hearing in New jersey are nothing to be concerned about....NO...NO... Dr it is ok

I am willing to bet we have lost more market share and bottom line business dollars this year than we ever have!!!

BRING WOODY BACK!!! He at least knew what the Eff he was doing

Wheewww...I feel better after this little rant...I will feel better after i get out of here

Listen, this division is done. What are you selling, a few product upgrades or T3 which came out 8 years ago. The voice of the customer is not important to these clowns. EWHU has been for years the worst division at Ethicon. Oh, my mistake, only after they sold the other poor performers

Here is a brilliant idea: Why did we not come out with a piece of Interceed that is "T" shaped. I talked to one of my drs today...and he laughed out loud. He said who thought of this one?(referring to our new size) If you are asking me to make it into a T, Why didn't you come out with a T shaped piece?

I said I dun-no, here is Salyers number, call him

Yep! Let Salyer handle that one. All the head-nodders in management have been running this division in the ground for years. And when those head-nodders left the company, they hired even more. Line extensions won't get us anywhere.

Can you say goodbye to Prolift & Prosima? and then Gynecare!!!

Surgical mesh products made by Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and Boston Scientific Corp. (BSX) to correct falling pelvic organs in women should be immediately recalled because of painful side effects, a watchdog group said.
Mesh products made of non-absorbable synthetic material can erode and cause pain, bleeding and urinary incontinence, Public Citizen, based in Washington, said in a statement today. The mesh is implanted through incisions made in the wall of the vagina to reinforce the tissues around the pelvic organs.
The watchdog group, founded by Ralph Nader, estimates that 67,500 women had the non-absorbable mesh implanted last year. The Food and Drug Administration received 1,503 reports of complications associated with the material from January 2008 to December 2010 when used to repair pelvic organ prolapse, the agency said in a safety warning July 13.
“Even the FDA seriously questions the safety and effectiveness of these mesh products, so they should be removed from the market immediately,” Michael Carome, deputy director of Public Citizen’s Health Research Group, said in a statement.
The FDA has also said it’s not clear whether the mesh is more effective than surgery without it. Jeff Secunda, a vice president at the Washington lobbying group the Advanced Medical Technology Association, said the mesh “is an important treatment option.”
Recent innovations have helped device makers standardize materials and made the procedure more consistent for surgeons, he said.
The material is made by at least nine manufacturers, according to the FDA.
Public Citizen wants the FDA to require manufacturers to recall non-absorbable surgical mesh devices and future versions to be subject to more stringent approval requirements.

WOW.

Wow, I posted this nearly 9 months ago. I am so happy I left this hell hole. It has been about 7 months now with my new company...and I can say I am so much happier here than I ever was with Ethicon after nearly 8 years.

I hate to say but some of my predictions have come or are coming true. My honest opinions are that 75% reps will be fine. It is the middle to upper management that will be sacrificed most. And I can't wait to hear that my old ass kissing egotistical DM was let go.

The best is that they are taking commissions out of your paycheck if accounts return the discontinued Prolift+M, etc products. Credo? What credo?

Oh, better yet....MAYBE your accounts will get credit if they return it. MAYBE?! Come on. Get your shit together. Do the right thing for once for the customers for God's sake. But no, it is all about the mighty dollar.

I heard Interceed is now on back order?! They will make the announcement tomorrow. So that means Morcellex, Thermachoice controllers, and now Interceed are all on back order! So there is nothing left to sell. Only the TVTs and Versapoint!

Looks like tomorrow is another golf day at the club with the guys! Horray!

I heard Conceptus is being bought out by Hologic. Well, that is just great. Now you can never trust those Essure reps to help you out. We will be out numbered 3:1

Good luck selling your 15 year old, 8 minute, OVERPRICED balloon

Hi there, my name is Marie, a French journalist, I'm currently working on a documentary about EWHU. Just wondering if some of you who posted on this thread some time ago are still active and maybe ok to have a chat somehow on products sold at the time, and the kind of speeches you'd have at the time by EWHU direction.

If so, please ring me here. We'll find a way to talk
