Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Ethicon Endo-Surgery's global surgical stapler recall gets Class I status from the FDA over concerns that difficulties with the devices' firing mechanisms may injure patients.

What more can you tell me about the PPH01 and PPH03, the back story. MAUDE has over 1000 listing for 2000-2012, deaths, injuries and malfunctions. Word has it the problem was know about long before the recall yet consciously ignored? Any truth to this? Why did the FDA make it a class one when a voluntary recall was in place?

good thing we pulled all of them and fixed the problem. phew working at ethicon sucks!

Leave. No seriously, leave! You will be happy and Ethicon will be happy!!!!!
Free advice here... You dumb ass probably would have paid 10k just to have someone slap you on the face and tell you to act like a man!!
Leave Ethicon, take the cannoli.

Is "Ethicon" the new "Consumer" or "Depuy"? What 's up with all the recalls and voluntary recalls? Maybe everybody is concentrating on saving their jobs rather than putting a quality product out there ...

You must be new. Welcome!! Yes, we live by the credo which includes looking out for ourselves first......quality in our products? Why would we be concerned about that? After all, we have PREMIUM devices, along with the PREMIUM prices. How dare you question how Juan, Julio and Enrique manage the manufacturing in Puerto Rico and Mexico!!!
