When I hear people say that Otsuka isn’t ethical as they claim to be, some give PBA as an example. What are they referring to and Was Otsuka involved or looking the other way?

PseudoBulbar Affect. Avanir and Otsuka got into some trouble.
Well of course...when you charge over 800 bucks for 30 mg of cough syrup and claim to be an "ethical' pharmaceutical company then you become subject to public scrutiny. "60 Minutes" did a segment on it several years ago, and as soon as Otsuka got wind of it all promotion stopped immediately, despite the fact that they had put on a very elaborate POA meeting that cost them a fortune just shortly before the segment was televised. They knew right then the potential for embarrassment and backlash! Douchebags thought they could get away with it.....it's the Otsuka way!

Does Otsuka really plan to hire these people? I mean what type of person chooses to go to work there? Is that the caliber of professional and skill sets we want to take on?
This acquisition was poison from the start. Nobody is employed at Otsuka in high level leadership when this began and some lost their jobs because of it. What a mess!

That’s terrible. I also read an article that they were marketing to LTC centers and incentivizing and tricking prescribers to misdiagnose overdiagnose innocent old people for agitation disorder. Poor patients getting more expensive drugs they didn’t need. Something like that.

Didn’t sound so ethical….

Nice try Otsuka people. Just sit down and be quiet while we Avanir people come in and show you how to do things.

^ Here enters sociopath showing true colors when anonymous. Do things. At what cost to innocent people? Some day you will likely be the helpless patient in that LTC or maybe footing the bill for a family member. Karma.
