ESR 1 feedback

I've been interviewed for an ESR1 position and I just have a few questions about what a real ESR thinks about the position, car stipen, base salary, commission.. Etc.. I'm new to Medical Equipment sales and I'm looking for a little insight about the position.. Thanks for your help!

Its not medical equipment, they are med devices. Very different call point. Since you have no experience then you'll probably fall right inline with your comp plan. If you had decent previous experience then you would know what your value was relative to your offer letter. But don't get me wrong there are plenty of managers out there with less qualifications than you do...hopefully you'll be able to steer clear of them. What territory?

This company is the equivalent to a cheap date. Start out all excited and then you can't wait to escape.
Get some experience and relations and go market yourself to another company. If your good, you will be worth a lot more to te competition. This company hasn't figured out the talent is expensive to loose and cheap reps are just that, cheap.

I do have 5+ years in pharma sales, and I wonder why medical device base was not at least equivalent to pharma. I do want to get into this field bc I hear it's where to be. Also, is it realistic for a new device rep to make 90k+. I definitely work hard/smart... But my fiscal responsibilities make the first few months almost too lean at their initial offer. Also, does the gas card cover car maintenance or is it expected to be covered by the monthly stipen?

Most extremity sales reps I know are going down. Poor reimbursement to the surgeons =no sales for the rep. Have a very solid back up plan for the day the guarantee runs out!!!
If your present job is paying for your lifestyle get a 3 year guarantee!

So what are some popular S&N endo products? They mentioned "cases", are they referring to patients? Is it really only about the reimbursement? How are the commissions on average? Is reimbursement for surgeons anything like formulary coverage by insurances?
