I wonder what this contract will look like next year? Will Merck make available the resources that we need to move the market share for Dulera and Asmanex? I enjoy this contract, however, I am really starting to get concern about the workload.

I agree. Yes, this workload is way too much for part time. I'm not sure how much more they can possibly pile on us before the year is up? Many people are starting to lose their motivation as this is no longer part time.

Yes such a work load grow up!!!! You obviously never worked full time with night time programs lunches etc. Do the paper work sitting in your car between calls we only need 8 calls. Seriously I have a rural territory and I have to stall in each parking lot. Use that time to do the paper work really!!!! Stop the contract is still very flexible!!!

Um...you obviously do not work on this contract. We don't have "paperwork" - well, at least not the type you can work in the car with.

This board is for all opinions. I have had a full time position, that is why I am part time and I would like to keep it that way. If you are not seeing the subtle changes on this contract, then you need to get your head out of the sand. After the teleconference yesterday and today in regards to the push to grow more market share for Dulera even though:1. No samples 2.It is in 2nd position should give you a clue. In our district we were asked to do a business plan as to how we were going to grow both Asmanex and Dulera. I have not done a business plan since I was full time.

Also all the teleconferences, trainings, web-ex that is " in lieu" instead of "in addition" hours, really starts to add up from taking us away from our customers in a 24 hour work week. I don' t mind that we are not selling to chocolate lovers anymore. Got it, over that. We are all tenured successful reps with 10 plus years of experience and we do our job very well. However, it is starting to feel like more full time than flex, we are being micromanaged and we don't have the resources to service our customers. Again just my opinion.

Huh? I agree with many of your points but 'no business plan since being full time'?? Everything requires a plan regardless of time commitment expectations. That just makes you seem foolish and underwhelming. I would not want you working with or near me.

Well, that would be your lost not working with me, because I am in the top ten in my region and doing quite well. But to SIMPLIFY for your edification in regards to the business plan, I have ALWAYS used the business acumen report or made up my own business tracking sheet, even before the business acumen was rolled out.
The business report that I am referring to now is one that not only uses the business acumen report, data from Veeva, cross referencing with my group B, DF, reps, impactful strategic tactics with measurable results etc. placing in Microsoft Power Point and presenting it to my manager. THIS is something that I have not done since full time.

A power point presentation as an EPBU rep.???? You must be in that crazy guys district... I have heard there is one Manager that is so OVER the top he has people jumping ship like crazy.

Well said! We are in a lose-lose situation here. We have no resources and are pulled out of the field constantly! Yet, we have these outrageous goals of dramatically moving market share? The full time reps couldn't do it working 40 plus hours per week, but we are expected to do it with no time or resources. We are set up to fail!

They are spending so much time micro-managing every last detail of our work day. Most reps are more concerned with how they are tracking - not tracking us than actually moving market share.

Stop micro-managing our every move, and taking us out of the field all the time. Let us do what we were hired to do....SELL!

Ha! if my manager asked me for a powerpoint I would say no. Then he would say OK. What is your problem?

This is a real EPBU rep. Listen to her.

So happy I got off this contract. Sounds like nothing has changed, my manager was a complete micro nightmare. Seems like its actually getting worse. I cannot believe you still have no Dulera samples..unreal. Good luck everyone. 2000 a month after taxes doesn't seem like enough money for all the bullshit.
