Was informed that Takeda Reps selling Entyvio only get $6,900 at the midpoint and the rest of $23,000 at the end of the semester??? At 95% to goal there is an 80% payout and goes down from there. Expected salary not in line with industry either. What a rip off!!! Explains the opening. Will interview elsewhere.

As someone in sales for Takeda, look for another job.
Pointing out Takeda is cheap isn’t going to change anything. Takeda doesn’t value sales. Sometimes they are right depending on the drug and individual sales rep
 












Takeda stock is above $16 for the first time in about a year. Leadership sees no reason to change its tactics. Not valuing sales is paying off for the company.
Whether or not we are getting real sales numbers is always up for debate. Seeing Takeda has a bonus structure on a bell curve, they will never end up having to pay out. This is a big pharma 101 tactic.
The only way this is going to change is if you go to another company. Takeda will only get stingier to improve the bottom line. All companies who get huge do this.
Pharma is dead. I’m holding on for a few more years until retirement. The worst position to be in is a 35 year old rep. Too young to wait it out.
Too old to find another career. You’d already know if you were next in line for a promotion. Pointless to look at postings.

35 YO CAN reinvent themselves. It's the 45 to 55 YO that Pharma loves to dump, but hey the writing has been on the wall for years. You had to know all this going in.
