Does Bard have a team of people who sell the entire line of products (and I mean everything from every division) to VP and C-Level of large IDN's and health systems? What about their structure for Corporate/National Accounts calling on materials management- is it segmented by division or do they have one team covering all product lines?

Thanks,

Yes sir, the RVP program was established some 15 years ago and is the finest in the industry. It is made up of former VPs of sales and marketing mostly from Bard. Other companies have tried to emulate but we are best in class.

Excellent people don't grow on trees my friend. We have some of the best and that sauce ain't going nowhere.

I don't work for the competition. I'm in medical but don't compete against Bard. Just trying to get a general feel for the market and see which larger companies are doing this. I find it interesting that you have some ex-marketing folks doing this though. I'm also curious from a rep's perspective how helpful this "downward push" is in you winning or keeping accounts.

You sound like you're trolling. Either way, the program is absolutely mission critical and Bard's model is copied by many but matched by none.

Get over yourself. There is nothing special about buying the business with "dividend checks". Wow, you can do an excel spreadsheet! Outstanding salesmanship indeed! The true value lies in the people who grind it out everyday, face-to-face in front of the customer.

Easy there son. You need to learn to appreciate your elders!

Bard like everyone else is getting away from reps with small territories. the RVP, National Accounts/Regional Sales Specialist will grow and grow as hospitals get bigger and bigger.

im not sure our RVP team is best in class as KK was brought in to fix it, and why many of the divisions have chosen to handle it themselves. I hear they are actually being forced to sell and know a thing or two about the product lines.

Good analysis. KK will do an exceptional job but he doesn't need to fix anything. This program is the envy of other large device companies.

Are you serious? Bard's RVP program sucks - we're outmanned and undertalented. Yes there's some great RVP's, but best in class? Hardly. BSC, J&J, Medtronic all have better programs, relationships and the ability to seriously leverage their total portfolios at both IDN and GPO levels. Bard needs to bring the value of their total portfolio to the customer, rather than operating in silo's....being divisionalized is a double edge sword.

"Undertalented"? What planet are you living on? This group runs circles around those companies.
