I wouldn't take the job, Company is still doesn't believe robotics is taking business away from EBD. You will grow the business, but you will loose business out the back door to da Vinci. A couple of big users of ligasure got trained and killed my territory :(
 






I worked there for 4 years. Got every doc to use Ligasure. Then Davinci took all of GYN and Urology back from me. With the pathetic launch of small jaw not FDA approved for Thyroid you got zip. Quotas a joke, you get paid negative on electrosurgery and you will be lucky to last 2 years before being put on a plan. You are retarded if you accept that job. I was P-Club and only last 4 years before being pushed out. Its run like a paranoid military organization.

Dude, if you can't sell Small Jaw, you suck and deserve to get sacked.

To OP, I've been with EbD for 6 years in the western area and have very little in the way of negative comments. I agree that there was/is a good deal of denial in Boulder around robotics being a competitive threat, and we got caught completely flat-footed with Impact reprocessing this year. That said, from the rep level, nothing can touch Ligasure in the VS market, and we have excellent opportunities to bring economic value within just about every GPO. The market is getting more competitive, but EbD is positioned to stay one step ahead.

Not sure what the southeast is like, and surely would not want to deal with all the administrative BS of being an RM, but it would be worth takin a look at if you're up for it.
 






you are a moron. rm's are now pressuring their reps to not use their gas cards, and there is not going to be a NSM this year because across the board, the numbers are in the basement across the country. There is no more growth. You know nothing about midwest and northeast markets.

Obviously this is a douche or RM douche trying to save face.

Face it, 12 months until unit gets restructured into Autosuture and you can say lavee to your EBD Territory.

I made 180, reps now barely make 90. Joke.

Wow, I can't believe the negative comments. I am from the SE and I have a great manager. Yes, their is competition that takes business and until I read this thread I didn't know their is a company that doesn't have competition. Yes, you can make 900000 at the bottom or 250000 at the top. The people writing all the negative comments probably are making 90000, as it goes to say that your attitude follows you into the field. I can tell you that I make in the top and love my job. With Sonicision here, their will be a lot of rich reps next year, I just hope none of the guys complaining on here will get the chance to sell such a great product! But than again it does have some COMPETITION!
 






The posta about Ross Kanter being a good guy, I will bet you $100 it was written by Ross himself. No one at this company is happy now. Management and vision was once a strength of this company. They are now the reason for our demise.

If you are serious about working here, ask Ross these questions.

How much business have you lost to reprocessing?
How is reprocessing affecting reps earnings?
Is the company adjusting quota because of reprocessing?
How much business have you lost from the new HCA dual source contract?
When will you get the thyroid claim for small jaw?
How much turnover have you had the last few years?

Honestly, I am a rep that is still making decent money here. I have a decent year lined up next year. However, over half of the sales force is looking for a new job. THere is no long term growth here. THis place isn't what it used to be. I would not recommend anyone coming to work here. You will regret it.
 






Those of you that are whining, either one you don't work here or two you think Sales is always supposed to be easy. If you are the latter, you are spoiled little brat. Tell me a company that has come out with game changing products almost every year, sometimes three times year. You are probably the same loser who is still stuck on the manager in MI.

The previous post illustrates the problem with this company. We are expected to grow 20% a year and management has repeatedly dropped the ball with new products and no one admits it. There is no true leadership in this company. No one will speak up and tell the truth to management. Where is management on reprocessing? There is no way to sell against it. If you say there is you are lying to yourself. We were blind sided by this. No one saw it coming. Again...management missed it.

Go drink some more kool aid and watch all the reps leave. Stay away from this place.

I am sure someone will post something about you can't sell, you are w whiner...But is speak the truth. Knowing what I know about this company there is no way I would recommend anyone come work here.

Man, haters be hatin up in here! No matter what your reasons for being unhappy with EbD, it would be tough to find a product that is as good, and fun to sell, as Ligasure. It's been a great ride, and the train is definitely slowing down a bit, but I still think EbD is a good place to be for a while. Not sure what the NC market is like but I would guess $100k+ first year and average $150k thereafter if there is decent opportunity and you get out and hustle.
