PI coming up. Have questions about Cook.
1.Health benefits (dental/medical) carrier and cost for family per pay period.
2. Pension, 401K and vesting time.
3. Vacation, holiday and PT.

What to expect with the 2 RMs at the PI.

Thx

I don't like being negative....if you have no other options and you get offered the job...of course take it. If you are currently working stay where you are.
Cook's salary is painfully low. MAX $60,000 base and then they have some team bonus plan and something else. You won't make more than $80,000. That is a horrible salary for a device gig.

Back to your question though. The two hiring manager are actually very nice guys. They will tag team and go back and forth asking you questions...nothing crazy....the typical inter view questions. It's not difficult.

I recently worked for Endoscopy, and there is much to be happy about there. While salaries are somewhat in line with other companies, I made 6 figures for 5 years there. The money is there if you are growing. The products are class leading and you will find a lot to like. Probably the best division of Cook to for. If you like your manager-you get an offer that is acceptable-take the job.
Others will come on here and tell you that I am lying, that NO ONE makes 6 figures, but there are some. The majority may not, but many do and that is a fact.
Benefits are decent, with 401k match and profit sharing, company car, and all the other standard stuff-it ain't a bad gig.

You said "worked"....did you leave? and if it's a good gig..why leave it?

Because I got a better gig.....duh.

Exactly.

Cook is a nice training ground...then move on.

Sad the company does not recognize this...as they train so many, and then they move on. Really is a waste of time and talents. Truly should reward your team appropriately...so they would not move on so soon.

So you're going to retire where you are now? I left for a better gig, most people leave their jobs for a better one, that doesn't mean Cook is a bad gig. All companies lose reps, we are all constantly moving around to find the place most comfortable for ourselves. Cook has issues-granted-what company doesn't? You might be at a super company but your individual manager is a lozer-then life sucks for you. You can be at a crap company with an awesome manager and never want to leave. You might work for a big name and get laid off to-Cook is not laying off. There are lots of reasons to leave a company but most don't mean the Company is pathetic.
