Having just ended a co-promote with Genentech on a product that I participated on for over 10 years, I can honestly say I am thrilled to be away from ANY connection to this absolute disaster of a company. From the lazy TAMS, to the completely worthless BEM’s, I considered it a miracle to get anybody’s lazy ass out of bed and into the field for a day. The only people that had any semblance of value were the FRM’s but God forbid you contact them in person and interrupt their daytime television viewing habits or tee times. They can be very moody. From what info I could glean from any of the employees, is that the company has rudderless management, is an utter DEI disaster from all the woke buffoons out in California and a continued ecosystem disaster from the 2020 realignment. Nearest I can tell, is that there’s so many layers of field management, nobody EVER has to take responsibility for anything! Lots and lots of people getting paid bookoo bucks to do very little. On joint marketing calls, the product managers for Gen could barely speak English, completely undecipherable, I literally thought we were all being Punk’d....Good luck and good riddance, I’ve moved on to a new and better gig, but I just wanted to perform a quasi exit interview and hopefully provide some sort of feedback to anyone left there that might still be able to make major improvements and save this disaster, but I know the swamp runs DEEP. Your jobs there are definitely good if you can get them, but this industry and others, are now trending toward a time where all jobs are having to be justified and or based on merit, so I would guess a good trimming of the fat is well overdue at this bloated, liberal, DEI disaster.... Merry Christmas!
