How long does it take to do the pre employment screening? Are you notified when it's completed so you can give notice to your current employer? How long after the verbal offer does it take to get your offer letter?

I have been on two inVentiv contracts. In one case it took over a week to get the offer letter because they hadn't finalized my start date, which had to be coordinated with other hires. In that case we were backfilling vacancies on a current contract. The other time I was part of a new contract and the start date had been determined. I had the offer letter within 2-3 days of the verbal offer. The pre-employment screening through Sterling was very fast. A few days at the most. I don't remember if they notified me when it was completed, but I believe I was given a phone number that I could call to check on my status. Good luck.
