Even if the launch hadn't been botched, it wouldn't have made a huge difference, because no one cares about this drug! No one cares if surgery patients wake up in the night to take another pill. No one cares if patients are chasing their pain. Surgeons simply can't be bothered with dealing with prior auths or pharmacies who won't stock the drug.

The last drug I launched five years ago is now a billion dollar a year drug. Docs started writing it the first time we came around to talk to them. Two months into our current launch here, we can't even convince five doctors per territory to prescribe. Folks, the writing is on the wall.

And you have obviously never suffered from pain and had to wake up during the night to get relief.

Congrats on being a pharma rep for a billion dollar drug......get over it. Tons of great drugs are specialty drugs that don't reach anywhere close to a billion dollars. Stop crying and go back to work. The weak at heart and lazy pamphlet droppers will not be rewarded with Rx's!
