Awkward session with him. Someone was bragging about they have the best initials. eiben called out someone in the crowd with very interesting initials. And, then he said the initials and what they spelled. How old are we? It was a little uncomfortable at my table that had a few ladies.

He should have been fired a long time ago. Remember he was a DBM who sexually harassed one of his reps - she had breast cancer and he made jokes about her breasts. But he survived and was demoted to a Novolog rep. Somehow he resurrected his career by moving to the home office. A Tiger doesn’t change it stripes.

Seriously? Hahaha... what an idiot. There should be pretty serious repercussions for something like that. That's how companies get sued for allowing a hostile/threatening work environment to exist.

Seriously? On infantile joke is hostile/threatening? How is it hostile or threatening? What is this, kindergarten? You seriously said threatening?!?

The problem is that when people like you call that hostile/threatening, it prevents people who complain about being in truly hostile/threatening circumstances from being taken seriously. It's like the boy who cried wolf. You're the boy who cried hostile/threatening.

If you read that person's response, I don't think he or she is calling anything hostile. I read it as the LEGAL definition of a hostile work environment. You can't go around publicly saying sexually charged things like that to colleagues - many of whom would be LEGALLY considered below you in title/power in the LEGAL sense of the job.

Yeah, that's true - like it or not in this day and age. I thought everyone who worked in corporate understood basic matters like this. I mean, why would anyone be confused about the risk of making a very, very, very contentious and sexually inappropriate comment like that? First time working in a corporate environment?

Why the obnoxious use of the word very? There are no differing levels of contentious. You speak like a child.

Got me there - good one! Now, back to the topic of a mid-level executive doing something crazy inappropriate that could very easily result in a lawsuit. Your defense of this is what again? "No big deal?" I wonder if every female in the room in positions below that of Eiben's feel the same.

Good luck solving your conundrum through Cafepharma, moron.

Why does everyone forget Doug Langa yelling from the Xultophy stage launch. “We are in a GD launch” but he said the actual words???
I remember that….I was highly offended but NN doesn’t give 2 cents about leadership saying that onstage. Remember Andy saying something similar although he gave some vague and feckless apology on a conference call a couple weeks later. SMH

Maybe because as an adult many of us are used to hearing a 'bad word' once in a while and even ( gasp) say them ourselves. What are we in kindergarten? man up!
You totally missed the point. Bad words are one thing, blasphemy is another. But don’t bother responding that I shouldn’t feel insulted by blasphemy. Other employees were equally offended. So there’s that.
You just be you.
