The picture would have been funny if it were sent to a dept. Sending it to 45K people is just pure idiocy and a waste of corporate resources. It actually had an impact to the business that cost several thousand dollars in lost productivity. That's no joking matter to a company that is on the brink of financial disaster.

Agreed, but also a travesty is the ridiculous e-marketing banner I just saw and clicked through to see what was behind it. The banner just said Lilly men's health. When I clicked on it I got an axiron pi with a big black box warning on it for testosterone transference. If I were a user of say androgel, I have probably never read the pi to see this there too, so there's no need to keep reading. What a waste of resources while people are being laid off and budgets slashed. Oh well, we're wasting money on the corporate bar/restaurant too. Not to mentions the excessive salaries we pay crony board directors and other worthless execs. We waste money like the best of them.

In the spirit of engaged employees, it was the most fun I've had at work in months. There was more roi on that spend than the stupid looking statue we put up south of 70.

We had to make our wall street commitment somehow. You all keep underspending your budget. If you keep it up we'll have to build a bar on campus with pictures of other hideous scientific art.
